Fearless Friday, Blueberry French Toast

Since the flavor of the month for August is blueberry, I thought it would be fun to wrap up the month with some blueberry french toast

Warning, this post might make your mouth water…

I’m going to let the photos do the talking, but basically when using colored pencils, work from light to dark and use small circular strokes.  To create depth, you need to add layers and layers of color, slowly building until you have the desired result

I began with a simple pencil sketch, then slowly added color layers, and used a black marker for the background towards the end to make the bananas pop

For the finishing touches I did an ink outline with a liner pen and some white highlights with a white gel pen
