Tablescapes, Rustic & Gold Friendsgiving
In the US, Thanksgiving is a very special holiday,
full of family traditions…
It’s all about the food and the table!
Have you planned your menu and set your table?
Our menu is still in the planning stage, but I have set the table
for Celebrate & Decorate’s Thanksgiving Tablescape Blog Hop!
Even if you’re not hosting, you can enjoy a variety of styles, tablescapes, and ideas for fall dining!
I will be having a casual Thanksgiving with my children and grands on the coast this year, with a fun Turkey Vase and Decorative Wine Bottles as part of our decor
But before I head South, I am going to have a Golden Rustic Friendsgiving in the city
Thanksgiving tables to me should be a little formal, a little rustic, a little traditional and a little fun
Room for lots of food, and room for lingering when you’re done
A nod to the season with pumpkins and gourds
Plus some unexpected elements so you don’t get bored
Like a twinkling tree on the sideboard
This rustic turkey ring sports a linen napkin tail
The table runner is a golden magnolia leaf trail
A turkey and Indian corn perch on each end
Celebrate friends like family, they are a Godsend
The traditional cornucopia spills out onto a Gold Glamour Tray
A Thanksgiving centerpiece done in a new modern way
What time do you prefer for dining?
we don’t like to eat while the sun is still shining
the lights look so pretty as it darkens in time
Any time around 5 suits us just fine
A glittery garland overhead decorates the chandy
It will work all through the holidays, isn’t that handy?

Jenna, your table is both beautiful and elegant! I love the white roses with pops of coral roses peeking out, and the modern cornucopia is stunning on the pretty tray. My primary requirement for a TG table is that it be “comfortable” (whatever that means to someone) because dinner a) takes a long time and b) no one ever seems to want to leave the table after, we just hang out and talk! All of these pass the comfort test — I’d like to be at any one of them!
I agree Jeanie, the best part of a dinner table is the lingering after… I don’t want people to jump up and do the dishes, that can wait!

Love your poetry Jenna….I have books and books of my poetry, some good some not so good, but they are personal for any crisis or happy time in my life. The cornucopia is lovely, spilling out all the goodies of your table. Your dinnertime is a good time for dinner. We some times eat at 3 ish so we can eat again later in the evening. That way we get to enjoy two meals. LOL Have a wonderful Thanksgiving my friend.

Count me among those that love your poems! The glam elements are so nice and that gold magnolia runner is everything. Dinner time for us is usually between 4-5 which is November is on it’s way to getting dark. I hope you have a fun holiday and enjoy both your dinners.
