Frantic Friday!

Today’s Fearless Friday is about not panicking when you make a mistake, but instead letting the mistake work for you
“Hey Jenna, you still up?”
“Yes, what’s going on?’
“Scout is making signs for her teachers and she wrote Mrs. instead of Ms, is there anyway to fix them?”
“Sure, hmmmm….paint the whole area white like a label…and after it dries repaint the name”
“Perfect!”
“What about Mrs. Bailey? She wants to say Ms Bailey’s Garden…”
I emailed her some easy flower ideas and a suggestion for a fix
“You could paint a big white circle over Mrs. and turn it into a flower and then write Ms over Bailey and garden underneath, and add some flowers all around…”
She ended up starting over, which is okay too, do whatever feels right to you, but most things are fixable if you stop and think…
The saying “happy accidents” didn’t become an old adage for no reason!
Didn’t she do a great job? What teacher wouldn’t be thrilled with such a heartfelt creative gift!
Scout is a 16 year old high school student, who has a super mom that stayed up late this night to help her create these extra thoughtful gifts
Just remember when you are frustrated and ready to toss something you’re working on, walk away…set it aside and come back with fresh eyes…think about a different direction…the challenge is ultimately the reward!
Don’t get frantic, Be Fearless!

16? She’s both very good and also clever and probably a super nice kid to want to do such a nice thing for her teachers. I say good on her — both in terms of correction (or staring over) and just the thought of it in the first place!

Great gifts from a 16 year old, and what a super mom! Been there, done that! Jenna to the rescue, cute 🙂
Jenna, the cake was made by Magnolia Bakery in NYC. I meant every word of the poem for my cherished friends that read my blog. Our first day of winter is warmer than half of our fall weather. Hope you warm up soon! xo
