Creations, Things to be Thinking about in January

Okay, so I know we’re all about new beginnings,

reorganizing, decluttering and deep cleaning,

making New Year’s resolutions and living better, healthier…

but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun too!

Just ahead is Valentine’s Day,

let’s think of some fun things we can do now to get ready

I would love to make an over the top door decoration like this Queen of Hearts one from Etsy, it was priced at $290 and is sold out!!

Much more affordable is painting clear ornaments or glassware with hearts, tutorial here

Make a Valentine Chalkboard with lots of love

Think about the perfect sweet treat for your Valentine

It could be something extra simple like these

2 Bite Cherry Pies

or something more elaborate like

Raspberry Cheesecake Trifle

How about some hand painted cards?

There is an easy tutorial here than even non-artists can do

Maybe you should surprise your Valentine with a homemade coffeecake for breakfast like this

Raspberry Orange Coffee Cake with Almond Streusel

Or, even easy Cinnamon Roll Surprise Buns will win many a heart of all ages!

Isn’t this more fun than cleaning out a stuffy closet??

oh that raspberry orange coffee cake!!! I want some so bad right now. Love the tomato hearts too!

  4. I think I need to paint some valentines. This might be a painting weekend. I deprived myself until Christmas was down and the house had maintained some form of order. And I’m getting very itchy to put brush to paper again! I love the heart wreath painting!

    • I have been doing a daily challenge this month, and it’s not easy to keep up with, but it does get me drawing for at least a few minutes everyday. I am hoping to start a large painting this weekend, supposed to be rainy…

I hope you copycat and make that Queen of Hearts wreath, Jenna. That raspberry orange coffee cake has me drooling. The chalkboard is so fun, and of course, all your hearts are beautiful.
