Fearless Friday, This Little Piggy

All of a sudden

I am all about pigs

in this “Year of the Pig!”

So when I saw that Pig was a prompt for February 5 for the February Doodlewash Art Challenge I couldn’t wait to get started!

This Little Piggie was so simple to do, but you do have to be a little fearless...

I chose several light pink toned markers and placed shapes of color on the paper

The various tones of pink shapes  define the body and curves of the pig

Fast and loose sketch lines with a .05 fineliner  bring this Little Piggy to life!

Isn’t he cute?

You can do this with watercolor too,

dropping watercolor into puddles of water on your paper

and sketching after it dries

as demonstrated from the previous Fearless Fridays below

Sweet Potato Chip Nachos

Flaming Flamingo

Have fun and Be Fearless!

And here’s another piggy project anyone can do, paint a piggy bank!

Get a plain white ceramic piggy bank from the craft store, like Hobby Lobby here and have some fun!

I painted mine to look like a little lamb by painting white swirls on the body, black ears and hoofs, black eye lashes, and pink cheeks

This Little Piggy is available in my Society 6 Shop here on many different items

    • thanks Emily, I love playing with my pens and markers 🙂 Crazy weather we’re having this week in Alabama, 80 one day and 30 the next. I hope you have a great weekend, at least it’s not raining!

  3. Your little piggy is cute as a button! And it’s fun seeing the variations, too. I do love your fearless pieces — I love how you “see” — looking at your pig and knowing right where to put the blobs before even a single line goes down. Big smiles here!
