Creations, St. Patrick’s Day Basket

St. Patrick’s Day is a big event at our house

No we’re not Irish…

It’s my granddaughter CC’s birthday ☘️

She is going to be 6!!

Where does time go?

Maybe the leprechauns can slow it down!

Knowing it was going to be a rainy week

I stopped by Target to get a few groceries

and ran smack into Easter

I’m not ready to think about Easter yet

Mardi Gras and St. Patrick’s Day are coming up!

But my eye immediately spotted an adorable green Easter basket

perfect for a little St. Patrick’s Day fun!

I went over to check out the Dollar Spot

and found lots of St. Patrick’s Day goodies

I lined the basket with a $1 shamrock bandana and a $3 rainbow infinity scarf

I splurged a little on the miniature Smith and Hawken gold dried flower wreath and tucked it in next

I couldn’t resist this little Leprechaun birdie

$1 flags

A pretty candle in a shiny green and gold jar

And chocolate coins for a pot of gold

I filled the bottom of the basket with gold sparkly balls

so the goodies could be seen on top

and threw in some “lucky” coins

Festive shamrock glasses…

Perfect for spotting leprechauns!

And Pinch Me Clothespins just for fun!

Let the Shenanigans Begin!!

Gift baskets are perfect for hostess gifts, birthday presents,

thank yous, or a surprise for a friend

Add flowers or a potted plant

a bottle of wine or

 Irish whiskey!

St. Patrick’s Day Crafts

Wishing you a pot o’ gold,

and all the joy your heart can hold!

  1. Happy birthday to the munchkin! Fun stuff… Nice baskets!

  2. Your CC is cute as a button! Lots of fun things. Just bought a new shamrock plant yesterday. Hopefully I can keep it alive till St. Paddy’s Day!

CC is adorable and so is your St. Patrick’s basket. Love the splurge on the miniature Smith and Hawken gold dried flower wreath. Perfect addition to your plentiful basket.

And she is the cutest little munchkin too! Look at you…getting all into St. Patty’s day. How adorable Jenna. Yes, I spotted all the Easter stuff coming out too. I think when I get back from my trip that I will begin to work on a tablescape for Easter. Might pass Saint Patty’s day up this year. Who knows….I am likely to change my mind. LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Adorable Jenna! How can CC be 6 already? I still remember her cute birthday cake table runner you made when she turned 1, 5 more candles are added now. Don’t you just love the Dollar Spot at Target? It looks like I need to make a return trip 🙂 HomeGoods had their Easter goodies out a couple of weeks ago. I’m guessing they’ll be all gone by St. Paddy’s Day and LONG before Easter which is late this year. ☘️🎂🐰

How lucky CC is to have you to always make her birthday special and you get to create a 2 in 1 theme. You can have all kinds of fun with both! I’m thinking tables may be on hold for me for a while in order to keep everything sparse until the house sells.

  7. What a fabulous day to have a birthday!! What a doll CC is! Love all the decorations.

  8. Jodi says:

Happy birthday CC! My son nick shares your st Patrick’s day birthday. But he is going to be 29!!! 👍😉☘️💚

how quick they grow up. I just put up my St Pat’s decorations. I will have to share some photos soon.

  16. Rita C. says:

What a stinkin’ cute basketful of shenanigans! You can just see the energy in CC’s face/smile! You get to celebrate birthday fun on both Valentine’s and St. Patrick’s Day – how fun!

    • I know! It’s so crazy, I have a grandson whose birthday sometimes falls on Easter, and 2 other grandsons whose birthdays can fall on Mother’s Day! We always go big on all the holidays! Thanks Rita, thinking of you…

  17. I love to make up gift baskets, always fun to bring them to parties for the hostess!! Yours is adorable!

  18. thefrenchhutch says:

Your little granddaughter is adorable and your daughter is so lovely, a lot like her mom 🙂 Love your pretty St. Patrick’s Day pretties. I know what you mean, Easter was on the shelves Valentine’s Day. I’ve already found bunny plates I fell for! I love to make baskets and I need to run to the dollar store for the bandanas. Hope you the weather is better there than here………

  19. Jessica says:

Fabulous St. Pat’s basket. We love St. Patrick’s Day. Your other things are really neat, too. I didn’t know you had a shop. I will check that out.

  20. Cyndi Raines says:

CC is so cute! Such a fun age too, not to grown up yet. I know you will have a great party for her and lots of fun. You are really on the ball decorating for St. Patrick’s Day, I guess I’d better get with it and put away the pink and red stuff, lol.

    • thanks Cyndi! Once a holiday is over I usually can’t wait to move on to the next one 😂 But it was actually the basket that inspired me, when I saw it I couldn’t wait to fill it with St. Pat’s goodies!

  21. St. Patrick’s day is my birthday as well. It’s a fabulous day to have a birthday. It’s not like Christmas which can overshadow a birthday, yet it’s on the calendar so that everyone remembers it every year.

  22. Julie says:

I love everything that you made up for the basket and it looks so festive and fun for St. Patrick’s Day. Thanks for sharing at Cooking and Crafting with J & J. Enjoy the week.
