Party Panache, Strawberries & Cream Bushwacker

We enjoyed a taste of summer on the coast last weekend, Saturday was warm and sunny and was spent boating and swimming

HHjr was head chef all weekend,

which gave me time to play with flowers

and paint with CC

“Now that I’m 6 Gigi, I’m old enough to wear lipstick!”

she announced

{we’re going to have to work on application 😂}

“Your lipstick matches the tulips!”  I told her…

We capped off our Spring Break fun with a dangerously delicious cocktail

A strawberries & Cream Bushwacker

Bushwackers are the local favorite cocktail on the Gulf coast

The recipes vary,

the best description is an adult milkshake

It’s cold, creamy, and strong

made with coconut rum or vodka

Irish Creme, Kahula

This recipe is very simple

You can mix the Bailey’s Strawberries and Cream

with vodka or milk or softened vanilla ice cream {swoon}

And of course, you could enjoy it all by itself on the rocks

    Yum, that’s a cool twist on a White Russian, which I love.
    CC is an absolute doll. Oh dear, lipstick at 6! Watch out, HHJr!

    • She LOVES makeup and always wants to look at mine, so I gave her a lipstick that she keeps at my house and can use when shes here…goes straight for it every time!

  3. Yum, I saw that strawberry Baileys a couple weeks ago and kind of veered to the right… Might have to stop back:@)

    OMGoodness. Everything looks yummy. When I am in Orange Beach there are 2 places I have to go – Tacky Jacks for a Bushwhacker and Cafe Beignet. Your granddaughter is adorable. Have a great weekend.

    Like you, I have to use ice cream in a drink recipe that calls for milk or cream. The Bushwacker sounds pretty darned good.

    Sounds great…I think I would have mine with softened vanilla ice cream for dessert.

    CC is adorable! Our 9 year old grand wants to wear all sorts of make-up. She thinks she’s 20…LOL Now I want a bushwacker and a trip to the Flora Bama…haven’t been in years, but it was always fun! Hugs!

    • There’s a new place now across the street called the Flora Bama Yacht Club, which is a funny name because the place is a shack with tables in the sand, but it’s the new hot spot during the day…my kids spent a lot of time there that weekend!

  15. Jodi says:
