Creations, Spring “MacCarrot” Swag

I have been having a lot of crafty fun lately,

inspired by my long time favorite MacKenzie-Childs

Last week I shared a tutorial for bunnies and eggs

When a new MacKenzie-Childs catalog arrives,

I pour over every page,

so many whimsical wonderful things!

This 24 Carat Swag caught my eye

$295.00

Yikes, Hobby Lobby here I come!

I found some wonderful faux flowers

they were 50% off 🎉

inexpensive black & white checked ribbon

and cute cute carrots

[so cute I had to buy 2 bunches 😂]

I layered the greens in a pleasing order and and used thin wire to wrap around the stems to hold them in place

I tied the black and white checked ribbon in a simple bow covering the wire and added in two lengths of ruffle edge purple ribbon

One bunch of carrots was secured to the top,

covering the stem ends

A wire loop was secured on the back for hanging

I spent about $35

I hope you will stop back by

Tomorrow I will share the “MacCarrot” Easter table

I put together with my new MKC inspired creations

Thanks for hopping by!

  1. Jenna, your $35 dollar MacCarrot swag rivals the $295 MKC one. I love your craftiness and thanks for walking me through the steps. It brings Easter to your door and it is so pretty!

  2. I’m not saying this because you are my blog friend but I like your swag SO MUCH BETTER than the one in the catalogue. That one feels quite oversized to me but yours seems to be in better proportion and so cute! Love it!

Jenna your McCarrot swag is perfect and the cost makes it exceptional. I will look at something in a catalog and say “do I like it $295.00 worth?” And the answer is no, but I do like your $35. worth. You are on a crafty streak….and you are so good at it too. sigh!

So Eastery and Spring, beautiful Jenna!

  5. Benita says:

That swag is gorgeous!! You did a fabulous job! Yeah, $295 is a bit steep, to say the least. I love yours!! Have a great day! Hugs!

    Good Morning!

    What a beautiful creation!

I have been trying to find a recipe you made in the last few months. It is crescent rolls with the prepared cheese spread (like Rondele) then you roll it, bake it, slice it and devour it!!!
Anyway…I cannot find it. Would you please let me know what it is called, where I can find it? I do want to try it for company…and of course me!!

Thanks so much. Your website is the sunshine in my day.
    God bless,
    Elaine
