Holidays, hippity hop, Easter is on it’s way!

We usually celebrate Easter at the beach, but this year everybody has too much going on…
We decided to combine Easter with Charlie Brown’s birthday, April 16, and have some family fun next Saturday afternoon…a birthday party Easter Egg Hunt!
CC and Charlie Brown’s other grandmother is going to join us and luckily for me she has already filled eggs with goodies and has offered to share and help 😅 Thank you Sally!
Most of my Easter decor is at the beach, but luckily I do have my new MacBunnies here to help decorate
I’ve been hopping around the archives for recipes and ideas
In case you’re still planning your menu or need a last minute idea
maybe these will help
We are going to gather late in the afternoon
we will sip and nosh while the littles search the yard for Easter treasures,
the menu will be finger food and appetizers
with a birthday cake for the birthday boy
Confetti Birthday Bundt delighted him 2 years ago
These Pimiento Cheese Puff Pastry Eggs are hard to resist
I definitely want to make Mary’s Roasted Carrot Hummus pop over to see her show stopping presentation here
Or if I get lazy, I can make this easy Carrot Dip Garden instead, it’s a prepared dip covered with chopped green onions and “planted” with baby carrots in a spinach lined bowl
And how cute would this fruit from Living Locurto be for the egg hunters??
or even easier, these Easter Peep Fruit Kebabs from Amee’s Savory Dish
Pineapple Glazed Kielbasa Bites from Complete Recipes is on the April Bucket List, I think they would be perfect
HHjr has been perfecting his pizza oven technique, maybe I can get him to do a pizza or two, a cheese one for the littles and perhaps a fancier one for the adults
Crazy Spring Radish Pizza is topped with asparagus, radishes, and salami
In keeping with our non traditional Easter
I am cooking our holiday ham today,
which we will enjoy tonight and then I’ll have leftovers for the party,
you might want to save these recipes for your leftover Easter ham
Sweet Potato Spirals with Ham & Cheese
Orange Roll Ham Sliders were a hit as part of Christmas Eve’s Lunch, but might be too sweet for an afternoon party…
On Easter Sunday, HHjr and his boys and I will be having Tater Tot Breakfast Casserole and Coconut Grapefruit Brulee, so stay tuned for that!
What is your favorite Easter nibble?
Help!
