Fearless Friday, Easter Egg Fun!

A little Easter fun today with doodles

I first drew some very wonky eggs, added Easter grass and patterns, colored everything and topped it all with a sprinkle of jelly beans

Very fun!

Next I played with watercolor, making colored washes for eggs

I was loving the Easter grass so that came next

Then I added form to the eggs with more watercolor washes and added more grass

To finish, I shaped and shadowed the eggs further with colored pencil

There’s more than one way to make colorful Easter eggs!

Have some Easter Egg Fun!

Paint an egg on a bucket or a bowl

Or paint something on an egg!

Have Fun and Be Fearless!

Happy Easter!

Such a fun, festive post! I love all your colorful eggs, and never tire of watching the progression of your final painting from one frame to the next! Enjoy your Easter with your precious grands, Jenna.

We will be doing the same, Happy Easter and love all of the fun and color!

  3. Jenna, how fun and festive! That little adorable CC’s smile says she is having a blast coloring eggs. Wishing you a most blessed Easter weekend!

Your egg creations are fantabulous! When one looks at the completed picture it seems impossible to duplicate your work, but when one looks at the step by step process it appears as a possibility…even for one as untalented as this “one”! Beautiful crafts with eggs and on eggs too. Your darling bunny buddy egg-colorist looks so excited. For the past two years we have colored eggs with the now 5 year old, Benjamin, using the Cool Whip method with eggs-traordinary results! Happy Easter to you and yours! Thank-you!

    • I haven’t heard of the Cool Whip method, is is like the shaving cream method? Thank you for the kind words and Happy Easter to your family!

      • Ellen says:

I’m not sure if it is the same, but the good thing about Cool Whip is that Benjamin could safely enjoy licking the spoon that occasionally “found” its way into the dish!

      • Well that certainly sounds much more fun than just coloring eggs with dye in a cup! Thanks Ellen, Have a wonderful Easter!

Jenna, I’ve been thinking about you and knew you would be up to all things “Easter eggs’ this week in prep for the weekend. What adorable fun drawings and coloring eggs but nothing as sweet as that little face with it’s big smile. Have a wonderful weekend. Happy Easter sweet friend………..

Oh, I love what you created, Jenna!! 🌈💕 I will have to try doodling some eggs! And adding the green grass and jelly beans is a fab idea! 🐰🌷🌸 I also like your watercolor version! And of course, seeing your granddaughter’s smiling face is so precious!! 💗 Happy Easter! 🦋

Easy for you to say and do, but then we have discussed this before sweet Jenna. I love all your artwork and your precious little CC is doing what I love best and that is dipping eggs. She looks like she is having a ball. (I especially love the water colored eggs) Happy Easter to you and your family.

  10. Michelle says:

Wishing you and your family a happy Easter!!!

  11. Mary says:

Love your egg doodle Jenna! CC is adorable, Happy Easter Weekend ♥

  12. Cyndi Raines says:

Love all your versions of colorful eggs, especially the watercolor ones. Even though I’m an adult, I still love to color eggs the old fashioned way with hot water, vinegar and food coloring. I guess I’m just one of those kids who never grew up, lol! Then the next best part is eating them! Loved boiled eggs. Your granddaughter is darling. Have a blessed Easter! 🐣🐇🐑

  13. How can one awesome lady be so creative?! I love your eggcellent ideas. Best wishes for a happy Easter.

  14. Shelia says:

Love the Munchkin coloring eggs–she is having such a great time! Have a wonderful Easter with your family. My babies will come home for ham and pineapple casserole among many other dishes.
    Blessings to you and yours.

  15. I love your doodle tutorials! I think this is actually doable. Plus, I found a box of old watercolor paper at my dad’s house. I had no idea he had such things. At any rate, I brought it home, and I’m going to start experimenting.
