A lucky thing happened to me when I was on the coast recently…
I have a good friend that lives in nearby Fairhope, Al. She writes a column for Al.com and the Mobile Press Register, an Alabama newspaper with additional publications in Birmingham and Huntsville
“Hey, do you happen to be at the beach?” she asked
“Actually, I am here!” I replied
“I am entertaining author Mary Kay Andrews this week” she said,
“She wants to set her next book in Baldwin County and has asked me to show her around
She asked me if there were any upscale areas
I immediately thought of Ono Island,
Can we come by for a visit?”
😲 “YES!”
And just like that, Mary Kay Andrews, one of my long time favorite authors, along with Leslie Anne, were sitting in my living room talking about art, creativity, and writing like we’d all known each other forever!
This was such a treat for me, and I would like to give you a chance to win her latest novel, Sunset Beach, that comes out May 7. This is not the book based in my area, that one is scheduled for release next summer. Mary Kay Andrews {Kathy Trocheck} is from the Atlanta area and her family takes vacations on Tybee Island off the Georgia coast.
