Holidays, Father’s Day Tree

Honor Dad this Father’s Day

with a tree decorated with his favorite things!

This silver pencil tree stays up year round at the beach house, decorated for special holidays, or seasons

Before I bring out the flags and fireworks for the 4th of July,

I decided to dedicate it to 2 very special Dads,

my son HHjr, and my son-in-law, NG

They are both amazing Dads as well as sons, very hands on with their kids, always helping the moms and grandmoms too

This favorite fish photo was added to the tree

A baseball cap is the perfect tree topper,

as they always wear one

Some of their favorite things are represented

A big flat screen TV

A tackle box

A pig representing their love for pork!

There’s a mini fishing rod and a tin of BBQ seasoning

A lawnmower with a baseball mitt

And a “license to grill!”

I did buy a few ornaments

but I also shopped the house…

A biscuit mix from a local BBQ restaurant

A bottle of favorite whiskey

You can show some love with paper ornaments

made with the help of PicMonkey

A few Alabama ornaments, and stars and stripe balls

A beach bum nutcracker at the base of the tree

stands with a few coconuts

CC calls HHjr “Uncle Coconut”

They had a VERY funny coconut experience

It’s a nickname that instantly stuck

The great part about a faux tree like this

is that you can bend the branches to secure decorations

I love the lights at night, they give the room a lovely ambience

I’ve already decided to make this an annual tradition,

and I will have a whole year to collect or make more ornaments

🦀

I think it needs a big red snapper,

a golf bag, a beer can, oh so many things!

Don’t forget to make the Dads in your life feel extra special next Sunday!

  1. Jenna what a fun tree for your son and son-in-law, I know they will love it as they are honored on Father’s Day! Will HHjr be the grill master on his special day or will you take over the reins? I know your menu will be fabulous! It is still pouring rain here, Happy Sunday!

What a wonderful gift for the men in your family! I suspect your son and son in law feel very blessed to have you in their life. They will have such fun looking at what you have gathered in their honor.

  7. That’s a wonderful tree — really perfect. (And it definitely needs a red snapper!). It reminds me of my Dad Christmas Tree — all things that remind me of him — and yes, lots of fishing things there. I like that little tackle box. That’s an especially good one!

Isn’t it fun decorating a small tree for all the different holidays! I have a small narrow tree that fits in the corner of my dinning room and I decorate it for the seasons with the main theme being various birds, but for summer I do fill it will small dollar store American flags as well. Your sons will be pleased to see how you have honored them this way. As you are shopping your house, don’t forget to add an oven mit for that awesome new outdoor pizza oven! And yes it needs a fish or two! Lol!

  13. I love the idea Jenna, no doubt you’ll come up with lots of fun ornaments. Have fun:@)
