The Organized Life, The September Paint Bucket

Although it will still feel like summer in Alabama until mid October or so,

my thoughts for September are all about fall flavors and traditional Autumn food

When I started seeing maple recipes popping up on Pinterest,

my mouth started watering

I quickly decided Maple would be the flavor of the month!

There are a lot of football watching food recipes on the list

College football officially kicks off this weekend!

You can see photos and links to the recipes below

in the September section of

 Monthly Pinterest board here

The flavor of the month for September is MAPLE

Here’s what I made from the August Paint Bucket

The flavor/theme for August was Retro Redone

Pizzas have come a long way over the years, and here is my version, Retro Redone, of a traditional cheese pizza

This was inspired by Roasted Tomato Basil Pizza from Mantitlement and Heirloom Tomato Tart with Everything Spice from Half Baked Harvest

Fresh Tomato & Basil Flatbread

Not Just for Thanksgiving Stuffing, based on my mother’s stuffing,

Sausage & Corn Stuffing Casserole

Not the Same Quiche Lorraine is certainly different with the addition of peaches and plums

Summer Peach Quiche Lorraine

Turkey Tetrazzini is a classic dish and I have made several versions, the latest being Asparagus, Corn & Spinach Tetrazzini

Tetrazzinis are a great way to elevate leftovers into a meal worthy of a dinner party! You might also want to try my Chicken Tetrazzini, Ham Tetrazzini, Italian Tetrazzini, Loaded Tetrazzini

Peanut Butter Pretzel Pie from Lil’ Luna was the inspiration for OMG This Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie and was featured on Tasty Tuesday, hosted by Blogghetti

Raspberry & Cream Danish from Kitty’s Kozy Kitchen was the inspiration for Better Than A Bakery Jammin’ Cream Cheese Danish

These are dangerously easy to make and were featured on Wonderful Wednesday hosted by Oh My Heartsie Girl

I also made Crunchy Manchego & Fig Cheese Straws from Food Network

My version, Sweet and Savory Fig Canapes are delightful bites of cheese, fig spread and pastry
