Fearless Friday, Tide Pride Snack Bowl
You know the South is crazy for football
In my household it’s Alabama all the way
Today we’re going to customize a snack bowl for game day
I found this snack helmet at Target on clearance last winter and snatched it up
you can get one on Amazon here
or Ebay here
It came with NFL decals but I wanted to paint it for Bama
Flat square brushes make quick work of painting block letters and checks
I painted my signature Alabama elephant on each side of the helmet

Next I painted large gray dots that will become elephant footprints later
A football is painted on the top center of the lid and ALA down either side
Final details of dots, eyes, tusks
Now this helmet is ready for game day snacking!
HH, his sister and HHjr graduated from Alabama and
the whole family is full of Tide Pride!
We started an annual tradition, Labor Day family weekend at the beach with all our children and grands… 18 of us will be gathering tomorrow afternoon to watch the first game of the season
This snack helmet will see lots of action!!

Juicy Details
I got my helmet at Target last winter when it went on clearance, but you can get one on Amazon here or Ebay here
I used glossy craft acrylic paint
After paint dries and cures {sets for several days} it will be durable, however it can be scratched and be careful to clean with a damp cloth and never submerge in water
If you paint on glass or ceramics, use paint made for glass painting and it can be cured in the oven to make it waterproof
