Throwback Thursday, Must Make Maple Recipes

The flavor of the month for September is Maple

I was hoping to share an eye popping Maple cake today…

Irresistible like these favorites below…

Caramel Candy Wreath Cake

Million Dollar Pound Cake with Almond Toffee Crown

But the baking angels were not on my side

It not only stuck to the pan but had no flavor…

😢

But, I’m working on it!!

Soooo… let’s revisit these can’t miss maple flavored recipes

Delightful acorn squash is stuffed with apples and blueberries, a hit with kids, and you can add walnuts and bleu or feta cheese crumbles for the adults

Acorn Squash with Maple Blueberry & Apple Stuffing

You can also make it without the fruit filling and just fill it with maple, bleu cheese and pecans

Or simply with maple syrup and butter

Maple sausage pairs beautifully with cheese grits for a hearty breakfast indulgence or breakfast for dinner!

Maple Sausage Cheese Grits

Carrot cake rolls with Maple Glaze aren’t just for Easter or spring, carrot cake is fabulous for autumn, and the maple glaze makes them perfect for fall festivities and Thanksgiving

This is one of my favorite salads, it looks so elegant and tastes divine

Maple Bacon Wrapped Pear Salad

This is an oldie but a goodie around here,  chicken thighs baked in a tangy sweet mustard maple sauce…5 minutes to prep, in the oven it goes for 45 minutes and dinner is  on the table!  Top with pecans for a special touch

Mustard Maple Pecan Chicken Thighs

My new favorite salad, Roasted Butternut & Bacon salad is similar to this salad made with sweet potatoes

Roasted Sweet Potato Spinach Salad with Maple Bacon

So get the maple syrup out and enjoy these can’t miss favorites!

Oh yum to maple! One of those yummy rolls would certainly taste great with my coffee:) I always find something delish to inspire me here. Thanks for all the delightful recipes Jenna. Hope you have a great weekend, my house will be full and happy.

  2. Jenna, a fabulous round-up! The carrot rolls with cream cheese maple icing sounds so good to welcome fall. As a matter of fact, one would be perfect with my coffee right now. It is so aggravating when a cake doesn’t turn out, even worse if it has no flavor. I have had my share of those through the years. Happy Thursday!

  3. They all sound mouth-watering. Now to figure out which one to start with….. 🙂

The house smells exactly like fall when anything maple is baking. These all look delicious!

So sorry your cake didn’t turn out just right–but thanks for sharing a boo boo, it makes you all the more lovable. In a few years of insanity I catered weddings, baking huge wedding cakes and preparing all the other food. That was the hardest work ever–and I was holding down my full time career job also. I never had a wedding cake to fail (transporting was harrowing.) But in my own domain I have had some royal misses–one just the other night with a casserole I found online. Maybe I shall go and buy a new kitchen witch!

    • Oh Sheila, I have a ton of fails, anybody that cooks knows it’s not an exact science! How interesting you used to make wedding cakes!! Wow, that is an undertaking and the transport had to be a nightmare! I had totally forgotten about the kitchen witch, that was a fun tradition!

Jenna, I am constantly amazed at the diversity of your daily food fixings! I think I am pretty boring, fixing the same dishes, week in and week out, so I appreciate your recipes and the oomph it gives me to try something new. The mustard maple pecan chicken thighs sound tasty! I will pin and try soon. Hubby loves carrot cake and so we’ll be having that for his birthday (October), but my mouth is hungry for it now, haha. Thanks!

I may head to the kitchen right now and make the pound cake. I can’t resist the toffee topping.

  8. I’m definitely hooked, being the maple girl I am!

Yum! Your photos look like they could be in a magazine! ❤️ I like to substitute maple syrup for white sugar in recipes for a more natural sweetner. 😍

First I thought, that cake looks delicious! Then I saw the cinnamon rolls – and THEN I saw that chicken. Oh my that chicken looks AMAZING!! Thanks for sharing at the What’s for Dinner party – Have a fabulous week!
