Tablescapes, November in the Kitchen

After every holiday, I tell myself,

there is no reason to be in a rush to put things away…

And just about every time,

the very second I can,

it’s out with the old and in with the new!!

The boys were away this weekend,

so I had the kitchen all to myself…

Playtime!

I decided to run out to Fresh Market to get a few groceries

The next thing I knew, I was scurrying  around the store picking out flowers and other bounty,

fresh fruit and vegetables, baked goods, sweets and treats…

I have been wanting to update the vingette on the kitchen island…

Now’s the time!

I decided to change it up and give it a Thanksgiving theme

Even though I love love Halloween {cute Halloween only please}

and hated to see October end,

By mid day Nov 1, I had removed all the Halloween things from the kitchen,

unloaded my goodies from Fresh Market

and couldn’t wait to get out my turkey tureen!

There is a jar filled with spicy cheese straws and one full of bright fresh cranberries

Fresh artichokes, apples, oranges and acorn squash

Under the cake domes you’ll find

a fresh vanilla loaf cake and chocolate pecan pie bars, store favorites

I mixed peach roses with sunflowers,

Alstromeria and golden stems in a rustic pitcher

Truth be told, I had to descontruct this a little for day to day reality

because the boys will all complain they can’t see the TV properly…

I folded the ends of the runner up under and relocated the flowers and domes

BUT!

I can easily recreate the original look for our next gathering!

It looks like there’s something for everybody in your vignette. I can imagine someone strolling by and finding an irresistible goodie to eat which might mean a replacement trip to Fresh Market.

Jenna, this November display is beautiful and looks magazine worthy. All the rich autumn colors and textures are perfect with your pretty florals. We are fortunate to have a Fresh Market in Tulsa, and when I get to visit, I love it. I was just in there yesterday admiring all their gorgeous autumn flowers. Your lovely display is the perfect thing to welcome November! Enjoy your day!!!

Love your kitchen vignette Jenna. It’s hard to believe October is past and it’s time to talk turkey! Your turkey tureen is fabulous and perfect mixed in with the fruits, vegetables and flowers. Around here Thanksgiving gets celebrated with a little holly on the turkey 🙂
    Have a wonderful week……..

Your flower color combos are gorgeous!! I love your decorating ideas!! 🍂🦃🧡

  16. So pretty and seasonal, festive and fun. I’ve got to find my turkeys and such. Everything in the basement got all disorganized after my flood last winter. Halloween comes down today, TG up and soon — you know what!

I bought flowers at TJs this weekend. Yours are gorgeous!

  17. Loved your bountiful display! The colors, the textures, most of all the variety. Truly an artist at work. I’d hate to deconstruct any of it!

  18. Holly G. says:

I’m like you, Jenna, and lickety split, I remove the old decor to usher in the new. I also tell myself that there’s no rush, but we must like refreshing. I love your vignette on your kitchen counter and your floral centerpiece. Happy November!

  20. Mary says:

Oh so festive…love your bounty in your kitchen to welcome November Jenna! Cake would be a dangerous thing to have under a dome on my island. 🙂

That looks amazing!! I too tend to swap out all décor right away… by 7am the day after Thanksgiving it usually looks like Christmas threw up everywhere and then by 7am the day after Christmas it’s all gone. Like magic.
