Tablescapes, Hearts and Flowers

Instead of traditional red roses for Valentine decor this week

I opted for pink and white alstromeria

Thinking about what vase or container to put them in,

I got an idea…

When I painted this cake dome, I painted every other heart upside down…

So when you invert the pieces it can be used as a bowl too!

This large round vase fits perfectly inside

Originally I planned to fill the space between the vase and bowl with candy

but there wasn’t enough room…

Just for fun I tucked in a pink feather boa

The feathers seem to mimic the alstromeria petals,

going in all directions

But since we are going to use this table for HHjr’s Valentine birthday

I thought he would be more comfortable without the girly boa…

I collected these adorable cupid cherubs years ago

They will steal your heart!

The Aloha Raspberry Bread Pudding Ramekins will steal hearts too!

I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

Clever!! What a fun table. Hope your weekend birthday celebration is full of fun. Happy Birthday to HHJr!

  2. What a happy table! Your square plates are really pretty with the red and I will have to make one of those cork hearts! Yay — something new to do with my corks!

Jenna, your table is adorable and perfect for a Valentine’s birthday celebration! Your centerpiece is gorgeous! The cake dome is perfect! Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

Love all the tables and that White Chocolate Bread Pudding keeps calling my name!

    Love your watercolor flower heart!

  5. Happy birthday HHjr. Looks like a fun party for you all. The boa was a cute and flirty idea, but I guess not for your son’s birthday. Alstroemeria always works and lasts forever. Happy Valentine’s Day!

  6. Oh my gosh! I need a bigger house so I can have a huge butler’s pantry to house the huge collection of beautiful dishes and accessories for your beautiful tablescapes!

Beautiful Valentine’s Day table setting Jenna. I love your painted cake stand! How clever to paint every other heart upside down so you have a bowl. Happy Valentine’s Day weekend……..

Jenna, I found the problem of why I couldn’t comment. So many of my sign-ins were lost when I signed on with the new iPhone. I juste needed to sign back in with Word Press. That simple, who knew!

What a festive table. Adding the Dreamsicles are perfect for a Valentine’s. Love the boa idea too. Plan to copy that idea when I have a duck theme table. Hopefully a white boa will look like duck feathers.

Sooo pretty is your 🐝-utiful bee, Jenna! I love alstroemerias, too, as they last so long. They look gorgeous in your bowl with boa. Happy Birthday to HHjr! Now I need to check our that dessert!

I love how you incorporate your gift for painting – even on that fabulous inverted cake dome! How clever! The desserts makes my mouth water. What a fun table – I like it girly or not! And to finish, I just adore your watercolor heart at the end! Hope you had a nice weekend!

Happy Belated Birthday to HHjr! Love how you thought ‘outside the vase’ to use your inverted cake dome for the flowers! ♥
