Fearless Friday, Rainbow Girl
Don’t be worried about bad luck this Friday the 13th
I have a special leprechaun here to make sure bad luck stays away!
This little guy was done by one of my fearless readers using the tutorial I posted last week

This is a trending style with young artists,
crazy doodles on top of each other,
filling a page or a specific shape
His dad requested this Alabama A
It’s large, 18″ x 22″
He’s 11….Wow!
The world is made up of an infinite variety of artists and styles,
if you’re frustrated take a plunge and try something different
Today we’re going to recreate this pretty card I received from a special friend
Using markers with minimum strokes
is a crazy fun way to create an interesting image
This technique uses a variety of colors, lines and shapes to define the subject
First a few pencil lines to define the form
I can’t emphasize often enough how important it is to make a color chart,
of all your different art supplies and mediums
for quick and easy reference
I chose a yellow marker and began adding strokes where I saw that color in the original
Next aqua and gray
At this point I had enough defining marker strokes down so I could erase the pencil
{once marker goes over pencil it can’t be erased}
Now I added strokes for hair and skin with various shades of browns
Now red highlights and a darker blue on the hat
Next, more colors, pink, greens and shading with colored pencil
Pom poms where added to the flounce on her top
She got a dangling earring
I used a black fine liner pen for final definition in a few areas,
bodice edge, pom poms, chin, shoulder and hat
I left her face without features to keep her more mysterious and anonymous
“Rainbow Girl” 6″ x 9,” alcohol markers, ink, colored pencil on mixed media paper

Good morning Jenna. Cyndi’s leprechaun is so cute, she had a great instructor. Superboy has inherited the artist gene for sure. The “A” is absolutely amazing as are the other two. I just know that his grandmother is so proud! I love the mystery of Rainbow Girl. Happy Fearless Friday and stay well Jenna.
We are coming to B’ham tonight and trying out a restaurant called Ash. My nephew gave us a gift card. Have you heard of it?
Fun! Actually I haven’t heard of it, but there are so many new restaurants now, it’s hard to keep up! I did just glance at their menu, sounds wonderful, can’t wait to hear! Thanks Pam

Oh, thank you Emily! Superboy entered a drawing competition to design a brochure for his school and he made the finals 🤞 so proud of him! I love Rainbow Girl, I will probably paint her in acrylic too, such a cool card, thank you 💕
