We love sharing our sisterhood adventures

and doing quarterly MacKenzie-Childs giveaways!

A quick update for those of you who have been following the progress

of DD & NGs house these past 11 months

The photo above is a digital rendering of proposed finished house

This is how house looked at noon last Thursday

The front yard was a total mud pit and the forklift kept getting stuck

They were scheduled to close in less than 24 hours

at 10:30 am the next day…

The contract stated that the yard had to be finished and the walkway and street clear of mud

Plus!

The moving vans were scheduled to arrive at noon to start unloading…

Did they make it?

Stay tuned!

And now for the winner!

Drumroll please….

The winner of the MacKenzie-Childs Flower Market whisk is

Yay, Jeanie! She’s a perfect winner, loves to cook and bake!
The house looks great, and I’d say yes, they met the deadline for closing! Just in time to social distance, and get things organized inside!

  2. Cyndi Raines says:

Oh, how nerve racking! But prayerfully yes, all is well and they are in their beautiful new home, enjoying the fun of putting everything in its place! Congratulations to Jeanie, enjoy whipping up new recipes! Jenna, I have to tell you, I am going to buy a larger set of colored pencils which offer more color choices than my current set. I tried my hand at Rainbow Girl and it was fun! I may even have to purchase a real sketch book, lol!

    • I love hearing this Cyndi! The right supplies really do make a difference! My go to sketch book is Mixed Media Masters Touch/Hobby Lobby. Very inexpensive and is friendly to wet and dry mediums. Colored pencils are wonderful because you have a lot of control, and you can blend them. They aren’t expensive, but get a quality pencil like prismacolor, you will find much better results than with cheap student level sets. Can’t wait to see what you do!!

Thank you Jenna for this good information, I will write it down so I purchase the correct items. 😊

    Congratulations to our winner, Jeanie!
The new home is gorgeous, and I know your daughter and her family are ready to settle in to their new abode. Perfect timing with our self imposed stay at home situation! I keep telling myself I could tackle all the things around our home that I keep putting off. You know, like cleaning out my closet, organizing the garage, working in the garden. Stay tuned! Ha! Ha!
All the best to your daughter and her family. I hope the closing happend and that they are moved in and settling into place.
    Stay healthy!

    • Thank you Sarah, my daughter is moved in and they are so happy! She is lucky that her job allows her to work from home since her kids will be home too…Like you I should be cleaning and doing around the house, perhaps this social distancing will motivate me…stay well…

  4. Kitty says:
