Take-out Tuesday, Slow Cook Creamy Pork Chops

I know a lot of us are spending much more time in the kitchen than usual…

At first we felt like this was a challenge, and we were up for it,

But as we enter week 4 or 5 of isolated living,

Are you getting quite tired of kitchen duty?

Here is a recipe that will fill bellies, tastes good, and requires almost zero effort

Yes! I said ZERO effort!!

All you need is a couple of cans of soup

I used Cream of Chicken and Mushroom Cooking Soup, new from Campbells

but you can use whatever cream soups you have on hand

Give the chops a quick sear in a hot skillet and season with salt and pepper

Mix the soups together in slow cooker

Add chops and push them down into the soup

Slow and low for about 4 hours

Dinner’s ready!

The chops are so tender, they will fall right off the bone

Serve them topped with additional sauce from the slow cooker

Jenna, this is a good recipe to make. This is one of my old standbys, and I have even made it with chicken breasts. If I have it, I will add onion soup mix to the cream soup. It’s really tasty. Take care, and enjoy your day!

    • hi Shannon, this is an oldie but goodie, with lots of variations…I know many aren’t fans of Creamed can soups, but I love the stuff, so handy 🙂 And I also use onion soup mix a lot, great pantry items!

  2. Good morning Jenna, that might be an oldie but it sure looks delicious! I am getting a little tired of trying to be creative with items in the pantry. We need an Instacart delivery soon. Tonight’s menu will be pinto beans with sausages and cornbread, a real Southern meal! Happy Tuesday, it is beautiful here! Beauty after the storms…

  3. Maybe I’ll put these on my next delivery list! I do have the pork chops. I often forget to pull out the slow cooker but maybe this is the time for good experimenting!

Hope you have a nice week Jenna and thanks for the recipe.

No slow cooker, no creamed soups but I do have the pork chops. I’ll make a sauce and cook them low and slow in the oven. Thank you Jenna for the inspiration.

    • 😂 happy to help! I know this is a stupid easy recipe that’s been around for a while but throwing meat or chicken in the slow cooker with a couple of cans of soup always yields an easy tasty dinner!
