Thursday was stormy and rainy,
perfect for an indoor project!
I had a large plastic water bottle and a pretty clear glass wine bottle,
that I’d saved in my craft stash …
I got out the Mod Podge, tissue, patterned paper napkins,
glass beads and paint,
and the fun began!
I soaked the glass bottle to remove the labels
and then painted colorful abstract shapes all over it
I cut the glass beads off an old costume jewelry necklace
for some 3 dimensional bling!
Small stones were glued around the neck
and I had a decorative blue ceramic knob that fit inside perfectly
I forgot to take a before photo of the plastic bottle below
I didn’t remove it’s label, just decoupaged over it
with various pieces of torn patterned tissue paper and napkins
When the Mod Podge was dry,
I added a few accents with paint pens,
and glued paper flowers and a crystal knob on top
Friday dawned bright and sunny
I set the table outside with my new pretties, fishes, and other blue bottles
A perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee
HHjr bought flowers on his last grocery run,
{so sweet, he knows how much I love them}
I told him he was so smart to buy Alstroemeria because they last for weeks
So gorgeous against the blue sky!
What a gift of a beautiful day!
I love decoupage because anything goes and you can get crazy
Happy bright additions to the beach decor 🌞
I hope I’ve inspired you to let loose and do something a little crazy!
