Tablescapes, Crazy Daisies

In the midst of this incredible situation

I have truly experienced a Godwink or three

When my son, grandsons and I went to the beach

to self isolate in mid March,

I thought they would be staying for a week, and me, maybe two…

Then, as the situation escalated,

the boys mom agreed it would be better for them to stay another week

Creative homeschooling began

Week 2 turned into 3,

and as they were packing to go back to “the city” Easter Monday, their mom called

She said she would meet HHjr part way to get the boys so he could stay!

So he stayed another 2 weeks,

and then they decided she would keep them during the week to do the schoolwork

and he would keep them on the weekends,

that way when he started back to work, it would be a good schedule

Last Friday he went back to spend the weekend with them but was back here Monday

This is definitely his happy place too…

He was planning to do the same thing this week when all of a sudden he gets a text,

“I’m tired” she said…

“Why don’t I come get them and bring them back here for another week?”

“Great!”

So he left Friday and they were all back Saturday!

Lucky, lucky me!

HHjr picked up these crazy colored daisies on his last grocery run

He said,

“I figured you could do something with them and have some fun”

I happened to have the perfect thing…

Colorful crazy daisy napkin rings!!

I also added some colorful fish

Look at them swimming around the edge of this dish!

Again, all I can say is lucky, lucky me,

Not to mention these incredible sights we were able to see

The Navy’s Blue Angels are based in Pensacola, just about 30 miles east of our house

We often see them fly by as they practice along the coastline

You can hear them coming but you have to be quick, they aren’t visible for long!

The Air Force Thunderbirds joined them a few weeks ago

They practiced for their upcoming US air shows to honor our healthcare workers

and those on the front lines fighting the Corona Virus

Such an amazing experience, right in my own backyard!

If you get a chance to experience these shows, you will truly never forget the beauty, skill

and patriotic pride you will feel!

I hope I have brightened your day

and that you have many “Godwinks” coming your way!

🌼 🌺 🌸

Oh I know how blessed you are! I am so happy HHjr has been there with you and the boys are back to enjoy early celebrations, lucky you! I know how much the boys enjoy being with you and enjoying the beach. Such pretty daisies and your scapes are perfectly summer ready. Jim had a business meeting in Pensacola a few years ago and I tagged along. We had a beachfront room and how lucky we were to see two days of fly over practice from the Blue Angels. I have similar photos, it was amazing! Look forward to seeing you on Zoom……….

    • Thank you Emily! Yes, if you’ve seen the Blue Angels you know how truly thrilling the experience is! And they are LOUD! I can’t tell you all the things I’ve seen just sitting on the porch! Looking forward to our virtual party today 🙂

You are so lucky to be stuck at home in such nice weather! The flowers are so bright and cheery, it’s not as bright in sunny here in Chicago. We got a sneak peek over summer temps over the weekend but back to the 50s again today. Nice to see all your pics, gives me hope!

God is good ! So happy for you! What a joy to have your grandsons and your son with you through this trying time. What a patriotic joy to see our military flying high! I would be screaming with joy at their high flight and wonderful loud NOISE! 😆 I have always wanted to see either the Blue Angels or The thunderbirds and this makes me want to all the more. I have an aunt and uncle that live in Pensacola ….maybe we need to make a trip down to visit them, hehe. Love your colorful, happy flowers!

    • Thank you so much Cyndi, the Blue Angels but on an air show here 2x a year, and we go by boat over to the bay where they fly to watch them, it is truly incredible. I hope some day you can have the experience! Thank you for your always sweet and uplifting comments!

Oh I am loving the God wink! YES! I surely believe in them. Love the table. I actually bought some daisies from the “Fight for your life” section at Walmart. That’s what my husband calls it. I enjoy browsing the clearance section of the plants and flowers and find great joy into trying to bring them back to life. I bought 4 daisy plants and we planted them in the yard. So far they are looking wonderful and have some blooms. We shall see! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
