Tablescapes, Dinner with Uncle Sam

Welcome to the Patriotic Tablescape Hop
hosted by Celebrate & Decorate and Design Morsels
I decided to build my table around a patriotic icon,
Uncle Sam
There are varied stories about the origin of the term Uncle Sam
He is widely recognized and remembered for his recruiting posters
and his stars and stripes top hat
The centerpiece of the table is a “top hat” vase
with a blue base and red and white flowers
and a mini Uncle Sam hat
Can you get any more patriotic than that??
The place settings are full of red, white and blue
Flag glasses, red napkins and a bicycle too!
Stars and stripes can be found everywhere
Just look, there are even some on the pillows in the chairs!
This is such a lovely place to be
Celebrating the 4th by the pool and the deep blue sea
A bucket of red white and blue sits at each place
More stars and stripes for you to embrace
Hooray for the USA!
Please visit my fellow tablescapers for more patriotic fun!

Three cheers for the Red, White and Blue Jenna! I can always count on a rhyming good time when I join you at the table. 😉 What a treat to have a seat at your table with that view for a 4th of July celebration. Your Uncle Sam hat makes such a festive centerpiece. Looking forward to your DIY details on Thursday.♥
Thanks Mary! We can see fireworks from a nearby resort here on the 4th, I am hoping they don’t cancel the show this year…
Yay for the USA!
And I love your Tablescape array!
Red, White and Blue…
For me and you!
Your table is such a beautiful 4th of July treat…
It makes my heart skip a beat!

Your table looks so happy and cheerful. Happy Fourth!
thanks Jeanie!
Beautiful table! Can I come to your house on the Fourth? I’ll bring pie.
Sure!! Especially if you bring pie!!
🥧❤️
Aww, what a darling centerpiece, Jenna–pinned! It is a pleasure to join you for this patriotic hop! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
Thanks Cecilia!
Jenna, this table is perfectly patriotic! Your centerpiece is beautiful, and all of your red, white, and blue decorations are so pretty! Those bicycle napkin rings are precious! I agree you have such a lovely place to enjoy a meal with family and friends! That water view is stunning!
Thank you Shannon, we basically live outdoors in the summer. We get lovely breezes off the ocean so it’s never too hot and dining out here at night is always a pleasure. Thanks so much!
Hooray for the red, white and blue. You have captured our patriotic spirit beautifully. Love the painted glasses and your top hat vase is darling. Uncle Sam is an icon. I see we have the same little hats and the bicycle napkin rings. I am also sad Pier1 is closing.
Thank you so much Linda! I have always loved Pier 1 😢
What a wonderful post today, Jenna! LOVE the colorful, vibrant table and of course, the clever rhymes that always put a smile on my face! What a glorious view to see as you’re celebrating the Fourth! Enjoy!

Thank you so much Rosie!! So happy to bring you a smile!! 🇺🇸
Jenna what a place to celebrate the 4th. I love the scenery around your table as well as your table. Love everything. I will be watching for the post on how you made the hat!
Thank you Terrie!
Love the centerpiece. It does look just like Uncle Sam. I hope you’ll teach us how to make it!
Thanks Andrea, yes details coming up on the Craft Hop!
Great table Jenna! Bring on the watermelon! Hehe Love all of your red, white and blue! The patriotic glasses, your cute Uncle Sam top hat centerpiece with the special party favor buckets all fit the bill! I really like the ornamental balls, they would look great on my “all seasonal tree” which will soon be decorated with small American flags. Hooray for the red, white and blue, indeed! ♥️🇺🇸♥️🇺🇸♥️🇺🇸
Thanks so much Cyndi! Those flag ornaments did migrate to my 4th of July tree after their photo session! I got them at Hobby Lobby several years ago. Have fun decorating your tree!
Loving your red, white and blue Jenna. Oh may Uncle Sam be proud of you and your sweet table! I love it. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thank you Cindy!
Lovin’ your bicycle napkin rings Jenna! Have fun:@)
Thanks Lynn!
I am also sad Pier 1 is closing.
I love your patriotic tablescape and fun rhyme. Your hand-painted flag glasses, party favor buckets, and Uncle Sam centerpiece are eyecatching and festive for the holiday.
Hoping your 4th of July celebration will be fun and safe.
Thank you Bonnie! Pier 1 has been a favorite of mine forever, so sad!!
I am glad to see you will be showing how to make that vase, because that steals the show at your table!! The place settings are perfect, those ornaments with the hats tucked into the little buckets adorablel, but that vase!!! How creative to set it on the blue plate to appear to be the brim of the top hat!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
Thank you Chloe! Your hops always inspire me!!
HAPPY 4th Of July Love your Uncle Sam and all of the patriotic decorations.
Marion,Marilyn and Joan
Thank you ladies!!
Well, how cute is all that?! Jenna, I kept trying to figure out the individual buckets, and was surprised to see their components. They looked like ice cream floats (but somehow I knew the AL sunshine wouldn’t stand for that photo session!). And that vase – is the blue base part of it, or is it all made to assemble and look like Uncle Sam’s top hat? Very, very clever. I am a huge fan of lumbar pillows, so I’m claiming that chair with the blue & white striped one (or the red & white, closer to the water, yes, please). What a place to be…..yes, indeed.
Thank you Rita, I will save that chair for you! I am sharing all the details of Uncle Sam’s hat vase on my blog tomorrow. And you’re right, ice cream wouldn’t last long enough for a photo session, as it was, I was having trouble keeping the mini hats in place because it was very breezy that day!
How cute is this?!! That centerpiece is just perfect -so festive and fun! I also love the ornaments on each place setting. It also looks like the perfect outdoor location for a table with that view. I would stay out there all day! Happy almost 4th!
Shelley
Thank you Shelley, yes we pretty much live out here in the summertime!
Jenna, I adore how you used Uncle Sam’s top hat as your inspiration. Your floral top hat centerpiece is unique and works beautifully with the individual placesetting pails with top hats. It is so creative! Your mixture of patterns make your tablescape so festive, including the fourth of July themed stemware. It would be so much fun to have some tasty wine in those fun flag print glasses. Have a wonderful holiday.
Thanks so much Marsha, it was a challenge to make my table look different with the things I’ve had for years! Happy 4th to you!
What a cute table. Can’t wait to see how you made that centerpiece. So fun hopping with you.
Thank you Cynthia 🙂
Love the napkin holders! Your table turned out great, glad to be hopping with you!
Thank you Kristin 😊
I always enjoy your rhyming, Jenna, that accompanies each picture. I’d love to come and enjoy the pool and beach with Uncle Sam, at your patriotic table. I remember big posters of Uncle Sam from when I was a little girl. Happy weekend to you, dear Jenna!
Thanks so much Kitty!!
Jenna, I love your Uncle Sam theme! Your DIY bucket with the hydrangeas and top hat is adorable! Your setting looks so idyllic with the ocean and the pool in the background. I would love to take a seat at your 4th of July table on the patio! It was fun hopping with you again. Happy 4th of July!
Thanks so much Rebecca!
Jenna, your tablescape is so gorgeous and the setting couldn’t be any more beautiful! The little buckets are adorable and I love all the fun features!
