Recipe Box, BLT Salad with Buttermilk Bleu Cheese

I thanked him with a Garden Tomato cutting board from my Society 6 Shop

My favorite summer meal is a BLT sandwich

with homemade Bleu Cheese Dressing

You can make a lighter version by eliminating the bread

and stacking tomato slices and bacon on crisp romaine leaves

This bleu cheese dressing is thin rather than thick, so it drizzles beautifully

Substitute Ranch, Italian or your favorite vinaigrette if you prefer

Oh yea! Love BLT’s on toast, YUM! But I also like your idea to put on the romaine lettuce and skip the bread. Anyway you slice it, it’s a winner ! 😉

Aren’t you lucky to have a friend that shares gifts from his garden with you. A BLT was the first thing we used to eat with the first tomato picked from our New England gardens. I know I would love your salad.
