Holidays, Happy Birthday USA!

🇺🇸  Happy birthday USA!  🇺🇸

So many events have been cancelled this year

Yesterday morning didn’t seem right without our annual community 4th of July parade

But with family together at the beach house

We are enjoying life’s little pleasures

Like ice cream cones and fishing

We’re flying flags

Watching all the boats go by

We decorated with red white and blue

We paid tribute to Uncle Sam

And lit the Liberty Tree

A nearby local resort did not cancel their fireworks display

Which we were able to view safely from our deck

Today we are joining a Patriotic boat parade

And flags will be everywhere!

Stay safe and well

Hooray for the USA!

Big 4th of July sale going on this week on Society 6

The masks are sooo comfortable, not hot at all!

They can be worn by children too,

by tying a knot in the ear string to make the mask smaller

Happy 4th Weekend Jenna! Lots of fun at the coast for your family, love seeing CC and Charlie Brown. 🙂 There were more fireworks than the usual last night on the water…so many, we didn’t even have to leave the dock to see them! Enjoy your Sunday ♥

    • Thank you Mary, glad you got to see fireworks from your dock, we were so excited that even though there were many displays canceled the ones close to us were still on!

  2. Looks like the perfect place to celebrate our country’s birthday! Have a beautiful 4th of July Weekend! Love seeing the grands having a good time!

  3. Nancy says:

Looks like lots of fun down on the Alabama coast for your beautiful family! Celebrating our country’s birthday was a little different this year. Fireworks were canceled… but down on the lake there were more then ever from different people setting them off. I thought it was even more special!
    Enjoy those littles!
Happy Sunday to you dear Jenna!

    • Thanks Nancy, glad you got to see some fireworks! You’re right, the holidays will be well remembered this year as we have had to celebrate in new ways, it is amazing how people are getting together and doing things in new and creative ways!

  4. Have fun at the boat parade today Jenna! That sounds like fun:@)

Jenna, things may be different right now, but it looks like you and your family had a wonderful time! Your grandbabies are adorable! We had a small celebration with just my husband and two of my children. I sure missed getting to celebrate with all of my family. Our numbers are rising every day so we chose not to get together. My heart was a little sad to not be able to celebrate with all of my loved ones. Hopefully, this will soon pass. Have fun at the boat parade, today. Take care, and enjoy your day!

    • Thank you Shannon, yes, sadly celebrations are different right now, I am so grateful that we can be together, things are spiking here too…Have a great week!

I love the way the Fourth is celebrated at the beach, so much fun and enjoying love of country. Those sweet little faces were enjoying their beach fun and I know you love having the family there. Enjoy your week with them Jenna……….

Love your celebration. We have a wonderful country and our independence deserves to be celebrated! Your grandchildren are so cute; I’m sure they (and the rest of your family) had a wonderful day!

Jenna, it did seem strange not to attend our neighborhood parade. I look forward to it every year, even in the heat! We celebrated with a table for two, really not anything different than our usual routine. I read that our neighborhoods were asking families to decorate their yards with a patriotic them and then families could drive around like they do in December to see Christmas decorations. Enjoy your boat parade! Sounds like fun!!!

    • Yes, Saturday didn’t really feel like the 4th without our usual parade, but we did see fireworks and then the boat parade yesterday was quite amazing, flags and boats everywhere! I know you made your celebration for 2 special with one of your pretty tables and vignettes!

  9. Love those wonderful smiles! And your masks rock!

  10. Cyndi Raines says:

So happy to see positive celebrations in support of our great country! Love to see all the flags flying instead of burning! Our neighbors put on a fantastic firework display and it did not disappoint. Awesome that you are able to celebrate with your family. Enjoy! ♥️🇺🇸♥️🇺🇸

Because of the rising numbers of covid, all events were cancelled in our town. Mother Nature also made sure that social distancing was obeyed as we had hard rain storms both on the 4th and today. I’m glad you got to enjoy a nice day of celebrations with your family.

  12. Bonnie Morgan says:

Your grands are adorable and it looks like the fishing was good. Glad you had a front row seat for fireworks without leaving home. All the boats all decorated looks like so much fun.
Your patriotic decor is so festive and pretty.
NIce your family could be together.

  13. Julie says:

It sounds like you had a nice time celebrating the 4th of July Jenna. Have a nice week.
