Holidays, Christmas in July, A Few Favorite Things

Is is hot 🔥 where you are?

It’s pretty steamy in the South,

let’s cool off with some Christmas in July!

I have rounded up some favorite ideas…

By thinking ahead, starting projects, and collecting recipe ideas,

We won’t be overwhelmed!

When the holidays are upon us, we will be ready!

Who can resist a cute gnome?

Re-purpose bottles and turn them into holiday decor,

along with a yarn wrapped cone Christmas tree, you’ll have an instant vignette!

tutorial here

Everyone loves a Christmas Village

You can make your own Christmas cottages with a little paint

and small decorations or ornaments

You can buy a cardboard house online at Amazon here

or a set of 3 here

and see the tutorial here

You don’t have to be an artist to paint

these “Charlie Brown” Holiday Tree jars

Paint them now…

tutorial here

and they will be ready to fill up with goodies,

like Peppermint Snowballs, {recipe here}

for gift giving later

You can make labels and gift tags for the jars too

Tutorial here

Or paint these easy Angel tags

They can be used any time for a special thank you gift

tutorial here

You can also make cute gift tags with cookie cutters,

markers, and card stock

Do you have some pieces of wood lying around?

Turn them into Merry Holiday signs!

tutorial here

Paint Santa on glassware and gift bags

with this easy tutorial here

Holiday Lights make wonderful gift bags and tags too

tutorial here

Save empty boxes and wrap them up for faux gift decor

{I love the size and shape of square tissue boxes}

Fancy Fake Packages tutorial here

Start collecting small goodies for filling Holiday Jars

and just add a pretty tag and bow

tutorial here

So, don’t get your “tinsel in a tangle…”

Get a head start now and reap relaxation later…

slow and steady wins the race!

Cute, cute ideas and adorable masks. Who would have thought we would be buying masks. Different colors and different designs! WOW! Girl, it’s so hot here that I struggle to think about my favorite time of the year…Christmas. But I am so much slower with getting things done these days that I probably need to start now! Hugs and blessings to you. Cindy

    • Thinking about Christmas fun {not stress} is a great distraction right now, something to look forward too, and maybe we will all celebrate a little more simply and enjoy and appreciate it even more! Stay cool, thanks Cindy!

I love your blog and especially your tutorials.I am going to begin painting some of your design.

So many fabulous ideas for a head start for Christmas. Love all of your darling designs and you have the cutest ideas Jenna. You have a great head start already……

  4. This is a good, timely post. I’ve been making gnomes like crazy and other felties and doing some watercolor Christmas cards as a special order this past week. I think I’ll be making more gifts this year (or cutting the gift list, given the shopping situation and not going out). So these are great ideas all!

  5. Jenna, you have so many wonderful ideas for those of us who procrastinate. I need to get busy now. I love all of the masks that are your designs. You are so talented, thanks for sharing Christmas in July!

Cute, cuter, and cutest! What a great roundup! It’s so awesome that you share your talent the way you do with your tutorials, recipes and, for those who don’t have the mojo – the website for purchasing!

Very cute ideas. Talking about Christmas makes me a little cooler.
I just ordered a battery-operated necklace fan to wear while walking.

I need to plan ahead for Christmas. Thanks for getting me thinking.

Oh my goodness, all your clever and cute ideas make me feel like such a slug! I’d like to blame it on the weather, but that would be pretty lame. Once again I find your creativity amazing as well as inspirational.

  9. Cyndi Raines says:

Wow Jenna, you really are ahead of the game. I was just thinking about making a cute “Welcome Fall” sign” with some wooden planks I took from my sisters old kitchen flooring before they threw it in the trash and you are already planning Christmas! Whew, you go girl! Thanks for the inspiration.

    • Well, I might be thinking about it, but not much is getting done! I signed up to do a fall decor post soon, which has lit a fire under me since it won’t feel like fall here for months 🙂 Thanks Cyndi and your Welcome Fall sign sounds really cute and a great idea! You have now inspired me 😊

  10. Deb @ Mountain Breaths says:

My sister made masks for the littles for going back to school. They are adorable. I should surprise her with one of yours! I just completed a fall wreath, and will start working on Christmas. We will find a way to have a very small gathering, and I want it to be very special. Thanks for the inspiration.

    • It sounds like you are way ahead Deb! The Society 6 masks are so comfortable, and my grands have several, I guess now that school is starting back 🤞 they are going to need a lot more! I hope you post your fall wreath, I’d love to see it!

  11. Karen says:

You are so talented and really inspire us. I’m going to start saving the square tissue boxes to wrap and put under the tree…great ideas.

Jenna, your ideas are so cute and a perfect distraction right now. If, NO, when I get to see my creative early teen granddaughters, I’m hoping we can take on some of these projects. I think the gnomes are just too cute! (BTW, although I love your masks, I truly hope we won’t be needing them come December.)

  13. pattyanneart says:

So many great ideas and beautiful artwork!! 💚😊
