Tablescapes, Autumn in Bloom

Have you ever been so inspired by something
that you literally stopped in your tracks
and went to get what was needed to make something similar?
That is what happened to me last week
when I saw a fabulous fall floral arrangement
in a beautiful copper tureen

I didn’t have a beautiful copper tureen
but I did have a large ceramic pumpkin tureen

And after a quick dash to one of my favorite flower sources
I filled the pumpkin with pale blue hydrangeas,
orange spray roses, golden yellow roses,
seasonal faux sprigs, and mini pumpkins

The pumpkin is elevated with a rustic green ceramic stand
which is surrounded by a wreath
of fall leaves and mini pumpkins

I set the table with melamine hydrangea plates
which sit on top of a green ceramic square charger
and a ruffled place mat

Even though hydrangeas are considered a summer flower,
I think they look great with pumpkins too…

I love the oranges accented with the soft hydrangea blue

I have done a tablescape with pumpkins and hydrangeas before,
one year my hydrangeas were still blooming in October!
You can see the Hydrangeas and Pumpkins tablescape here

And speaking of Summer flowers,
as your sunflowers fade, don’t toss them!
Cut the stems off and use the blooms decoratively

They are wonderful in vignettes
You can put them on a tray or in a basket

Or on a pretty plate or cake stand 🌻

It’s even starting to feel like fall in the South!
Thank you Shirley for your fabulous inspiration!

Lovely interpretation, Jenna! The tablescape with the arrangement – pretty! I love how your used pastels to create a look fit for fall. It totally works.
Thanks so much Rita!
Gorgeous, and really looks like autumn has arrived at your house.
Thanks so much Carole 🎃
Jenna, what a fabulous arrangement in your pumpkin tureen! I just love your tablescape and I think hydrangeas are appropriate for any season, they are one of my favorite flowers. The melamine dishes are wonderful, are they new? I have a funny story about dried sunflowers, I must share on a post. Happy Sunday and Roll Tide!
Thank you Pam, I am always inspired by Monday Morning Blooms! I got the melamine hydrangea plates at Hobby Lobby early this year.
I meant to thank you for the shout-out!
of course!!
Absolutely gorgeous Jenna!
Just wonderful!
Thank you!
It looks terrific — and I love that blue hydrangea in there with it. And oh, the sunflowers. Such a favorite!
Thank you Jeanie!
Jenna, what a gorgeous arrangement and beautiful tablescape! I love the hydrangeas mixed with the autumn colors. It is so elegant, and those plates are so pretty. I hope you enjoy your Sunday!
Thank you Shannon, I am really enjoying it 🙂
So pretty Jenna! I love mixing hydrangeas with pumpkins for fall and how you extended the season of your pretty pastel hydrangea plates too!
P.S. I know you must be happy with Saturday’s game and to have football to watch again 🙂
Thank you Mary, and yes, on Saturday we were thrilled to be watching football, enjoying a BBQ supper, and it was even cool enough to be outside on the patio 🏈!
What a lovely table you have set! The hydrangeas in the pumpkin tureen look wonderful!
Fall has come to your house.
Love all those sunflowers!
Happy week to you dear Jenna!
Thank you Nancy!
Jenna, your floral creation is as lovely as the original. I think your choice of pastel hydrangeas on the plates are so pretty with the centerpiece. The tureen made a great vessel for the flowers. I love we have hydrangeas blooming well into autumn. I use them year round when I can find them and I love the color after I dry them. Love how you use your flowers in a vignette or showcase them in a basket. I have a few now next to my kitchen sink in a bowl of water. Pretty till the last petal falls……..Have a wonderful week.
Thanks so much Emily, there is nothing better than an arrangement of big beautiful hydrangeas! Flower therapy is really amazing, an instant mood lifter!

Okay, homeschooling has eaten up a lot of my time lately for my 10th grade granddaughter, so I am playing “catch up” and I am inspired! I am off to find my stores that will help me be a “copy cat” and make a similar arrangement. Thanks for sharing yours. I have at least tipped my hat to fall, by filling a jar with candy corn–a tradition I have carried on for 25 years or so. I don’t even eat the stuff, but just looking at it makes me happy and I need the endorphins! I feel that with COVID, quarantines, social distancing, you know the little things that bug you–a gal needs all the endorphins she can get,. Take care Alabama, and keep creating–your pal, Shelia, the Georgia Gal next door
Good for you Georgia Gal, home schooling is not easy!! I enjoyed the pumpkin arrangement so much and will be posting another version of it soon! I also don’t like candy corn but it is such a cute decoration!! Have some Fall fun!!
Your floral display in your pumpkin tureen looks so pretty, Jenna. The hydrangeas looks lovely and complement your pretty melamine plates. Isn’t it nice to get inspiration from others?
thank you Kitty and yes it is!!
Positively exquisite, Jenna!! I LOVE the hydrangeas snuggled in with fall flowers! Perfect!
Thank you Rosie, I enjoyed this arrangement so much I am going to try to recreate it {or something similar} with just dried or faux elements so it will last longer 🙂
Lovely Jenna! Your pumpkin vase fall flower arrangement is so pretty with the blue hydrangeas. I never would have thought of this – not that you could find blue hydrangeas in Calgary lol. And the hydrangea plates to match – just perfect! I hope you have a perfect day to match!
hi Kim, we do have access to hydrangeas most of the year, I just love the impact of those big blooms! Thanks so much 🙂
So very pretty! Love the hydrangea too!
Thank you Cyndi, flowers are my happy place!
Jenna, I LOVE it! You did such a lovely job on your pumpkin! I have done these before, and let’s just say mine didn’t look nearly as beautiful as yours! Thank you so much for sharing at the TFT party! Pinned and shared! I will be featuring your beautiful pumpkin at this week’s party! Congrats!
