The Organized Life, January Paint Bucket

Yay! We made it!! Happy 2021!!

This month we’re going to put an American twist

on recipes inspired by cuisines from all over the world,

and also lighten them up and make them healthier…

The flavor/theme of the month for January is

International

Appetizers

Artichoke Aoili Pizza, original recipe

Bacon Asparagus Brie Bites from Delish

Italian Sausage Meatballs from Happier than a Pig in Mud

Long Boy Burger Bites from Plain Chicken

Sides

Japanese Zucchini & Onions from Allrecipes

Irish Pub Nacho Potatoes from A Wicked Whisk

Thai Peanut Salad from Seeking Good Eats

Vegetable Egg Roll Skillet from Skinny Ms

Main Dish

Chili Pot Pies with Cornbread Crust from Sweet Peas and Saffron

Florentine Mushroom Gnoochi from HHjr

French Onion Chicken Lasagna Roll ups from How Sweet Eats

Crock Pot Bourbon Chicken from Yummly and Spend with Pennies

Desserts

Mascarpone Cannoli Cheesecake from Food Network

White Chocolate Sugared Lemon Bundt Cake, original recipe

No Churn Tiramisu Ice Cream from Olla-Podrida

Breakfast & Miscellaneous

Monte Cristo Crepes from Taste and Tell

Biscuit Beignets with Praline Sauce from Kevin and Amanda

Here’s what I made from the December Paint Bucket

The flavor/theme of the month was White Chocolate Peppermint

I didn’t get a chance to make Pizza Wreath from Food Network

but HHjr made a delicious Evergreen Pastry Tree

You can use the tree shape all winter long,

or shape the dough into a wreath or any shape you want~

Also included in the post are several filling variations,

both savory and sweet!

I shared an original recipe, Club Sub Spirals

which are great for lunch, dinner and football watching

Snowball Party Mix from A Spicy Perspective turned into Reindeer Food,

a perfect party favor for the kids on Christmas Eve

Christmas Salad from Small Town Woman was the inspiration for

Holiday Salad with Bacon Asparagus Wrapped Croutons

The Bacon Wrapped Asparagus make a great appetizer too

Instead of Vermont Cheddar and Rosemary Scones from The New Vintage Kitchen,

{which sound amazing and I still want to make them!}

I made an old Southern Favorite

Melt in Your Mouth Magic Biscuits

Slow Cooker Mongolian Chicken from Slow Cooking Perfected

reminded me of a long time favorite at my house

Rock Star Short Ribs, the easiest dinner you’ll ever make!

For an easy and satisfying weeknight supper

I re-shared this from the Painted Apron archives

Sheet Pan Sausage & Marinara Sandwiches

Chocolate Peppermint Bundt Cake from Tastes Better From Scratch

inspired me to make

Chocolate Cake with Peppermint Snow

I made my own easy version of Peppermint White Hot Chocolate from Gimme Some Oven

Peppermint White Hot Chocolate

And here we go, onto 2021!
