Tablescapes, Hurry Spring

The weather is crazy in most of the USA right now

Our weekend got cut short when fear of the predicted ice storm

sent my family back to the city a day early

Yesterday began with 4 degrees and an inch of snow in Birmingham

On the Gulf Coast of Alabama it was 24 degrees

with a frigid fog steam coming off the water

Freddy was looking for a warm spot, but I didn’t invite him in!

To take my mind off of weather woes,

I got out some pretties and set this Hurry Spring table

DD’s family gave me these bright blooms for Valentine’s Day

I put them in a favorite Chalk Painted Pitcher

and elevated the arrangement on an overturned soft purple bowl

Place settings with mixed flatware, a napkin in bloom,

and a margarita glass

I know we will all celebrate when Spring comes at last!

In the meantime think Spring

and all the flowers it will bring

We’ve been making drinks with fresh juices

to brighten things up

CC has been helping and squeezing oranges into a cup

She is cuter than any cupcake she can bake up!

At least we can make it feel like Spring inside!

I will be joining these fabulous parties and blogs:

Oh poor Freddy… I bet his feathers are frozen! Love your colorful and spring-y table and flowers Jenna! CC does make an adorable cupcake 😉 Stay warm ♥

  3. It would have been very tempting to invite Freddy in. He’s a stunner, that’s for sure — if only you could be sure he wouldn’t flap his wings near the glassware! I adore your sous chef. She’s a gem!

Perfect antidote to this sucky weather! I can’t believe the heron came that close to your door. They’re very skittish around here (probably because they’re pretty far north and feel out of their realm anyway!). We had ice on Monday, and now we’re under a snow warning. Many areas here are still without power for felled trees. We feel for our Southern friends! Stay safe.

  5. Bringing the lovely colors inside to brighten your days is such a nice idea. Poor Freddy! Stay warm, and I hope your power stays on.

  7. Ah! Spring in your house! It won’t be much longer until there is spring on the outside as well! 🌹🌸🌺🌷🌻🌼💐🥀

  8. Jenna, CC is a doll and a good helper. Your table is a breath of spring and the bouquet is perfect. Freddy just wanted to come in and get warm 😉 We have sunshine and it is beautiful to see before the rain returns tonight. I am so thankful for a warm house!

Awe, your little grandgirly so adorable! Girl, that’s some pretty snow but the temp! OH LAWD HELP ME JESUS! I couldn’t stand being that cold. Of course that snow is already pretty to look at to me. We finally had some sun peek out yesterday and I was so glad to see it. I crave Vit. D. Your table looks adorable. Oh I am laughing cause Freddy ain’t stupid….He knew it would be warmer inside! LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Poor Freddie, he looks confused at this cold weather. Burr, sure is cold at the beach! CC is a cutie pie and I know you must have hated to see them leave early. Pretty blooms and table. I think we had a lot more snow that you had in the city. Glad it’s only raining now even thought is soooo cold. Take care Jenna……..

  12. The combination of lavenders and blues is lovely! A light touch full of the idea of spring. It will surely come — right? The flowers are gorgeous! Their deep colors complement the pastels perfectly.
