Creations, Flowering Tea Cup Centerpiece

Welcome to the Monthly Creative Craft Hop
hosted by Andrea of Design Morsels
If you are hopping in order and coming from My Family Thyme,
I know you enjoyed her custom pillow cover!
I have been wanting to make a “pouring” centerpiece for quite a while,
and when I was gifted this adorable tea towel
I was inspired to make an Alice in Wonderland type centerpiece
I went to Hobby Lobby to pick up supplies and lucky me,
table top was 40% off 😊

I found an adorable Pour Me pitcher,
a dotted Hello Gorgeous cup, a black and white striped plate,
faux flowers, a pedestal stand, a dowel,
and a bright patterned melamine plate {which I ended up not using}

I had a blue candle stand in my craft stash,
It was the perfect color,
and it was the perfect height, when set on top of the pedestal stand,
to use with the dowel I had
I played around with the positioning
so the dowel was just the right length
to be glued to the bottom of the cup
and just under the lip of the pitcher
The dotted cup and white pedestal were glued to the plate,
then the candle stand was glued to the pedestal
Next, I glued the pitcher on top, tilting it on the edge of the candle stand
so it looked like it was pouring
The dowel then was glued in place
The flowers were deconstructed into blooms and large leaves,
and then the leaves were glued on the dowel to cover the raw wood
I put a few blooms into the dotted cup
Next more blooms were glued onto the leaves going up the dowel

More blooms in the pitcher
Then more blooms on the plate and a mini flower pot place card holder
I set the plate of pouring floral tea onto a large ceramic platter
A Drink Me sign was made with PicMonkey
A clock face and lady vases added a touch of Alice in Wonderland
Tea bags and tea tags [gifted from a friend}
