Party Panache, Donut Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Pie

HHjr’s sons, Super Boy and Big E, both have May birthdays

They are 4 years apart

and their birthdays are 4 days apart

Oh how time flies!

They’re now 13 and 9

they each had their own parties with their friends

and then last weekend we had a big family celebration

The boys requested steak for dinner

so we had teriyaki steak kebabs,

grilled vegetable kebabs,

Ez Ranch Hash Brown Potato Casserole

and

Drum Roll please…

Donut Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Pie!

When I saw this recipe on Plain Chicken,

it literally had Super Boy’s name written all over it

{forgive the pun} 😂

Currently his 3 favorite things are glazed donuts,

chocolate and ice cream,

it was meant to be!

It’s a very simple recipe with a graham cracker crust,

no churn ice cream, chocolate chips and donuts

You can use a purchased graham cracker crust,

but making your own is so easy with packaged graham cracker crumbs

and melted butter~

and you can put it in a spring form pan

which makes serving a breeze

I used thawed Cool Whip to save a step

but you can whip heavy cream if your prefer

You simply combine the whipped cream

with sweetened condensed milk and vanilla

and stir in donut pieces and chocolate chips

Into the crust it goes and then into the freezer

Once it was frozen, I added his name with chocolate chips

{Since we were having it only 1 day after Super Boy’s birthday

and it had his favorite ingredients I didn’t put Big E’s name on it–

he had his own favorite Chocolate Mint Chip ice cream cake earlier in the week}
