Party Panache, Jarcuterie

Charcuterie boards are all the rage lately

and recently I’ve noticed the concept

of these board buffets being put into jars…

Well that’s brilliant,

and I couldn’t wait to make some!

This is such a great example of “Presentation is Everything”

I used simple everyday ingredients that I had in my refrigerator…

serving these in a unique way makes them party perfect!

Onion dip, celery sticks, cucumber sticks, bacon,

cherry tomatoes, ham, salami and cheddar,

watermelon and grapes

Onion dip went in the bottom of the jar,

then celery and cucumber sticks go into it

Short wooden skewers {available at the grocery store}

were used for the meat, cheese,

and bacon wrapped cherry tomatoes

I used small 8 ounce jars,

perfect for a cocktail party buffet

or a grab and go snack or lunch

You can make these ahead of time,

these fit into a quart size ziplock baggie~

and refrigerate for several days

Perfect for lunch on the porch!

You can also put them on a little tray or plate

Watermelon, grapes and crackers make a nice accompaniment

  8. Yes we love these fun foods as I like to call it. They have become our Friday night meals around my place. Marty and I can make a meal or two off these goodies. I too have saw the ones made up the cute jars and thought this would be a good idea for my family one weekend night. I just love the different ways I see every one doing these fun foods. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

I think this is a great idea. I pinned it in anticipation of the baby shower my daughter and niece will be having for my pregnant daughter this weekend. I used something similar for a veggie and dip presentation for another niece’s baby shower I hosted. I bought DT flower pots and slipped plastic shot glass liners inside. Easy-to-handle foods are the way to go when hosting!

    • Thanks Rita and your flower pot idea is a great one! I have learned after many parties, that the most popular appetizers are the familiar ones and the ones that are easiest to eat. I know you’re excited about the baby shower, exciting!

  14. I love this idea so much! We recently did this, but in a martini glass. It’s really the perfect way to have appetizers, but I love your idea of a small lunch on the porch with these for two. Always a treat to join you here, and get inspired. xo Lidy

Hi Jenna! I’ve done this with veggies and dip in a jar, but I need to get me some skewers and add some meat. That’s the perfect lunch! Ella wants to do a tea party again, and she’d love this.
