Tablescapes, Shells on the Beach

Welcome to the Summer Tablescape Blog Hop
hosted by Rita of Panoply

A table by the sea
is my favorite place to be

Sugar white sand is within reach

Making it feel like these shells are on the right on the beach!

The centerpiece features a compote of shells
placed in a Seaside Tray
On a table runner with more shells and coastal decor
scattered along the way

Views of the waterway and the pool,
along with sea breezes, really keep things cool

Aquas and corals color each dish

And there is even a pitcher which is a gurgling fish!

Napkin rings made with burlap ribbon, sea shells and twine

Painted ocean wave glasses for a margarita or a glass of wine

Get comfy with a starfish pillow and lean back in your chair
And put on a seashell sun hat to protect your face and your hair

The sparkling sunshine lights up every place
The beautiful reflected sunlight beautifies each little space
Relax and enjoy some Summer time fun

It’s only mid June,
Summer has only just begun!

Thank you Mary, it is definitely my happy place 🙂
Jenna, coral and turquoise just speaks of beach memories. Your rhyme is such fun just like your table. A compote of shells for the centerpiece is perfect along with all of the details. Your table and poolside setting make me want to plan a beach trip. Love the dappled sunlight…a beautiful summer table!
Thanks so much Pam!
This is such a light, lovely, and perfect summer table. I love how you used the shells in the glasses and centerpiece and it’s perfect with the china!
Thanks Jeanie! I love sea shells!
I always love seeing your beach tablescapes. They make me smile as I love me some beach. The napkin rings are adorable and that beach hat….YEP, like me a beach hat too! Beautiful table setting. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
thanks so much Cindy!
Jenna, such a great setting with the beachy at your finger tips. Definitely your happy place. You know I love aqua, turquoise and coral. Screams beachy, coastal to me. Your painted glasses are fun! The shells look great piled up for a lovely centerpiece. Always a pleasure to visit and join in. Happy summer Jenna.
Thank you Linda, those colors make me happy!
I love this so much, it’s my kind of tablescape. Great job as always Jenna!
Thanks so much Martha!
Jenna, your table is so pretty! I love the color combination of coral and turquoise. 😀 And the pale hues of the seashells are pretty, too.
Thanks Ricki Jill, those are my favorite colors, especially turquoise…my family gave me a turquoise Yeti for Mother’s day 😂
What a fun table, Jenna! I love coral and aqua together and how wonderful to be so near the beach! It is always a pleasure to “pull a chair up” to your pretty tables! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction
Thanks so much Cecilia!
Jenna, you have so many pretties to create the perfect seaside table. Everything looks just beautiful and wonderful for a spending a summers day by the lovely water. I would love to be a guest at this table. Happy Summer, sweet friend!
Thanks so much Shannon!🦐
Jenna, I’m so happy summer is here! Three months of long warm/hot days to banish the winter blues 🙂 Looking at your beach inspired table with the aqua and coral accents plus the fish pitcher and center beach themed tray makes me even happier.
Happy summer to you sweet friend,
RR
Thanks so much Rachelle, summer is my favorite season {except for the hurricanes} I’m hoping to spend most of my days at the beach house…aqua and coral are my favorite colors and shells are like pumpkins, you can’t ever have too many! Here’s to long and leisure summer days!
Your dreamy location is always so perfect for a summer tablescape, but this is particularly appropriate for a coastal seashell styled table like you have done! I remember your pretty DIY tray that you crafted. Your coastal plates are so fun, and I really like the coral and turquoise colors! I hope you enjoy your summer!
Thanks so much Chloe! Cheers for a happy hurricane free summer for both of us!
What could be a more perfect start to summer than to dine here on your deck with the gulf views, shore and poolside. Sea shells are right at home as a centerpiece, just picked up from a morning walk. I can only imagine how delicious your dinner was served up with this seashell tablescape. Happy summer Jenna……….
Thanks so much Emily, I do love seashells and am looking forward to many leisurely meals at this table this summer~
Jenna, will try again with a comment. I find your table sheer delight. Love the colors, they clever rhyming text, and the oceans side view. The thought of a sea breeze really makes me long for a trip to the coast. Thanks for sharing all the aqua and coral details. This table is very refreshing.
Thank you Sarah, aqua is my very favorite color and summer dining is at it’s best at this table, I am looking forward to a lot of meals here this summer!
Oh, to live by the shore! I love your seaside tablescape, especially the shell centerpiece. What a fun conversation starter that is! I would be busy admiring all those pretty shells! I spied the fun detail on your dinner forks too! A beautiful seaside summer table indeed!
Thanks so much Maureen!
Love, love love this color combination of aqua and coral! It’s a good thing I don’t live near or on a beach, as my cache of tableware would explode with more items like yours. I really love all the shells, fish and coral of this theme, as they conjure up visions of scuba diving that are committed to my memory. Some of our best vacations have been spent on a tropical isle, and your table elements all bring those memories to life. What I wouldn’t give to be able to share table talk with you and learn all about the items you crafted which are part of this setting, along with the neat items you’ve bought to go with. Happy Summer, Jenna, and thanks for bringing the beach to us!
Thanks so much Rita! I have been lucky enough to have lived or had a place on a coast my whole life, I was born in Connecticut and we belonged to a beach club on the Long Island Sound. Then we moved to Southern California and lived close to the beaches there, and now I am enjoying a third coast of the USA, I guess it’s really in my blood! Aqua is my favorite color and it is so pretty paired with coral…thanks so much for taking on the leadership of our tablescaping group, it is always such fun to create tables for the hop!
You set such a beautiful beach themed table Jenna. I know you are going to enjoy spending the summer at your beach house!
Thanks so much Julie, Happy Summer!
Such a calming tablescape! Love it all especially the napkin rings!
Thank you Nancy! I love sea shells…
I like the color and texture you’ve used. They are perfect for the setting. Are all your repairs complete so you can again enjoy your special place?
We’re still waiting on the pier to be rebuilt and our big boat is still being repaired. It’s taking so long because it’s been so hard to get parts due to pandemic shortages etc. But we did purchase a smaller boat that we keep on a trailer and can use that. The house and pool are repaired so it is still very enjoyable, thanks Linda
Jenna what a fun and fabulous coastal tablescape! As usual I m goo-goo over your hand painted glasses. You always have the most creative ideas and designs. Is there a tutorial for these? I’d love to make a set for a friend who will be hosting us at their beach house his summer. Imitation is the best form of flattery, right?
Thanks so much Debbee, no there’s not a tutorial, I just painted wavy strokes in shades of blue and aqua to imitate ocean waves and then I painted a sandy color on the base and glued glass beads like sea glass…small sea shells would be cute too. There is a tutorial for glasses with shells here: https://thepaintedapron.com/2020/05/28/creations-seaside-tabletop-glassware/
Now if that table doesn’t look like summer, I don’t know what does…so cute.
Thanks Karen!
Jenna, what a happy and relaxing place to dine and have some fun. The collection of beach decor and your gorgeous turquoise and coral plates symbolizes the summer fun of living by the water. I would spend hours at your lovely table watching the sparkling water and enjoying the fresh scent of the water and cool breezes. I hope you have a very pleasant summer ahead full of festive gatherings at your serene beach table.
Thank you Marsha, it is definitely my happy place, and we have many fun filled meals at this table 🙂
Jenna, you carried out this fun summer theme with shells beautifully. I love your blue and green summer coastal colors. Those margarita glasses are awesome. You have included such pretty details in your tablescape. It definitely would be fun to sit at your table. Enjoy your summer.
Thanks so much Carol, turquoise and sea shells are 2 of my favorite things~ Happy Summer to you!
Oh – this is the perfect beach tablescape Jenna! The shells, the plates, the hand-painted glasses – I love it all. And the seashell forks are adorable! The coral and the aqua colors are so pretty together – and that view! I will cross my fingers for a hurricane-free summer for you so you can relax and enjoy your lovely piece of paradise. Thanks for all the inspiration (just had to pin the seashell charger…)!
Thanks so much Kim, I do love seashells and beachy stuff and your prayers for a hurricane free summer are much appreciated!! The sea shell charger was fun to make, you ought to make some!
I love your Shells On The Beach tablescape! Your awesome post is featured on Full Plate Thursday, 542 this week. Thanks so much for sharing with us and come back to see us real soon!
