Party Panache, the WOW factor!

The other night HHjr made a pasta dish for dinner
It was a simple combination of penne pasta
topped with chopped garden tomatoes, corn,
basil and sausage

He toasted large hamburger buns, cut them in 1/4ths
and placed them in the pasta bowl in a star pattern
Quite the Wow factor, elevating a simple pasta
into a magazine worthy meal!

Another way to amp up your presentation
is with an unusual serving piece, like this strawberry pot
With veggie sticks tucked in the side openings
and a bowl sitting on top,
it makes a 3 ingredient ranch dip worthy of a special occasion
Strawberry Pot Dip Server with Ranch Garden Veggie Dip
Martini glasses are perfect for individual servings of dips or hummus,
put the dip in the glass and simply add the dippers
Guests can mingle and nibble!

A pretty tea cup makes a great serving vessel too

Or how about a cute measuring cup!

Garnish soup with a special crouton
like this Pot of Gold Soup with
roasted bacon wrapped Brussels Sprouts

Or French Onion Soup with Mini Sandwich Croutons

Food on a stick always seems exciting
like these Antipasto Skewers

Amp up your presentation even more with flowers

Highlight the flavor of the dish
by featuring it with the ingredient itself
like Pineapple Creme Brulee cups served on a slice of pineapple

Use a pineapple bottom to hold a dipping sauce
like this pineapple sweet and sour sauce for Asian Firecrackers

Match your food to a cute serving platter or party theme
like these Cheese Stars for the 4th

Watermelon Mini Chocolate Chip Cupcakes

Strawberry Cheesecake Cookie Cups

Do you have a special unique serving piece
or a way to make a Wow presentation?
Please share, we all love to inspire each other!

Those are super ideas. I love making things look festive for occasions. Your timing couldn’t have been more perfect to make me wince just a tad. This past weekend I cleared out 5 really cute and festive serving dishes that make getting into one cabinet particularly hard. Lol, I guess I can always borrow them. I gave them to a local sister and my daughter. 😉
It’s so hard to part with things like that, but at least you kept them in the family!!
I love the food and the presentation! The penne pasta is so chic plated that I would have asked for a 2nd 🙂 The root beer float cake is a show stopper! Very inspiring, Jenna.
I must admit to using presentation to amp up simple foods, we eat with our eyes first, right?!?!
Good morning, Jenna! That pasta dish looks both scrumptious and beautiful. You have given us some wonderful ideas for wowing our dinner guests and family. The watermelon cupcakes are precious and perfect for a summer gathering. My kids would love the root beer cake. Wishing you a most happy and blessed day!
Thanks so much Shannon!
Hi, Jenna! Great timing for some fun ideas to make a little get together a bit more special tomorrow. I am still waffling on the food part, so this helps give me a little kick in the britches! I don’t have a strawberry pot, but that sure is a cute idea!!! I’ll likely do martini glasses for this one.
Martini glasses always announce it’s a party!! Have fun!
Some GREAT ideas, Jenna! It’s true what they say about the importance of presentation! This post confirms that! So sorry I gave away my martini glasses like the ones you have. Grrr…..who knew they would make such great serving pieces?! Live and learn……
Thanks Rosie, a pretty presentation can make any food feel special!
Such great idea Jenna and everything looks so delicious! What is it about food on skewers? It’s something I do all the time, it just makes such a pretty presentation!
I know, right, there is something irresistible about food on a skewer!
Wonderful serving ideas to get my creative juices flowing.
Thanks Linda!
Wow is right, Jenna! Love all of the great ideas and beautiful presentations.
Thank you Patty Anne!
Jenna, these are wonderful ideas for amping up the presentation of food. The pasta dish looks delicious. All of the food is presented so artfully!
Happy Wednesday, raining here!
great ideas!
Thank you Leslie Anne!
All wonderful, especially being able to even think about having a party!
No kidding, entertaining is such a treat now after not being able to for so long!!
I like the little sandwich croutons:@)
The best part of the soup!
All looks lovely and delicious, BUT I MUST try the root beer cake! Sounds wonderful, especially to a root beer fan like me. Many I know are not such fans of the root beer, so I guess I will have to sacrifice and eat the whole cake by myself. ; ) Georgia Gal
That was such a fun cake, and it does taste like root beer!
Wow is right! Fabulous ideas with such creative presentation. That pasta dish is right up my alley!
Thank you for the inspiration!
Happy week to you!
Thank you Nancy, a special presentation elevates even the simplest food!
Jenna, HHjr’s pasta dish looks and sounds like a winner! My MIL always used leftover hamburger buns to make quick garlic bread. 🙂
Thanks Mary, just cutting them in slices made them look elegant!
HHjr’s pasta absolutely will wow in his presentation! It looks delicious and adding to my recipes. Great suggestions for presentations.
Thanks Emily, he amazes me!
