Take-out Tuesday, 5 Minute Key Lime Ice Cream Pie!

Seriously, you can make this pie in 5 minutes!!
And it’s the perfect Summer dessert

The only thing hard about this recipe
is waiting a few hours for it to set

Just a few ingredients~
Limes, Cool Whip, salt, sweetened condensed milk,
vanilla, lime juice and a graham cracker crust

In a large mixing bowl combine the milk, vanilla and lime juice

Then stir in the lime zest
I couldn’t fine key limes so I used regular limes in this pie
You can read about the differences between limes and key limes here
{there’s not much difference!}

Now fold in the thawed Cool Whip

Into the pie crust it goes

Isn’t that easy?
Garnish with lime slices and more lime zest

Cover the pie with the plastic liner the pie crust came with
and pop it in the freezer for 3-4 hours to set

Slice and enjoy!

This recipe is adapted from No Churn Key Lime Pie Ice Cream from Southern Living
You can substitute 2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped, for the Cool Whip if desired

Thank you all for your concern about our beach property,
we got lucky this time and just had a lot of rain
and no apparent damage so far…

Thanks so much Rita!
Well, that cute young man looks like he is enjoying your efforts.
Thanks Bernadette!
It looks incredible and I can tell that handsome young man enjoyed it tremendously!
Yes, it was a hit with the guys!
That looks so refreshing. It might be the perfect dish for our especially hot and humid days of late. Thanks for this one, Jenna! Is your AL home OK?
Thanks Jeanie, so far so good, we just got a lot of rain at both houses, but no damage so far, it’s supposed to rain all day today with lots of flooding. This pie is light and refreshing and couldn’t be easier to make!
So happy your beach house is ok. I can’t imagine the force of a Cat 4 hurricane. Looks like someone is enjoying the pie…he is so handsome!
I make this recipe often for my daddy, except with lemons. It is one of his favorites.
Thanks Pam, a lemon version sounds wonderful!
Oh yummy, I love anything with limes! This sounds delicious and I have to try it. Hope you are managing to stay dry. Unreal how much rain Ida keeps on giving. Such a terrible storm……..
Emily, you’ve got to make this, it’s so easy!! you can skip the crust if you want to save calories and just freeze the ice cream in tupperware. The rain has been ridiculous, but luckily no tornados or power loss and I think it’s just about over 🤞
Nice and refreshing:@)
So easy and so good!
That looks delicious and so easy. I think it just got a 2 thumbs up from your grandson. I’m glad you didn’t suffer damage this week.
So glad you and your family, houses, boats, etc. Are all intact and safe! This pie sounds yummy!
Thanks so much Cyndi!
Jenna, this looks so delicious! I make a similar pie, but I’ve never frozen it. I’m going to have to try freezing my recipe. That would be perfect on a hot day. I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!
Thanks so much Shannon, it’s a great summer treat!
Oh yum Jenna! I love anything with lime and this sounds absolutely delicious, but I’d have to go with the graham cracker crust, of course. And I just happen to have one of those premade crusts sitting in my pantry waiting for inspiration so thanks for sharing. Probably be good with Meyer lemons too! Totally pinned and I’m going to have to start a new Pin category called Jenna’s Recipes lol. So so happy you made it through Ida relatively unscathed. Stay well down there.
Aren’t you sweet Kim! I think you’ll love the pie, and aren’t those premade crusts so handy? Now they make them in a lighter version with 25% less fat…yes Meyer lemons would be great too, yum!
No-churn ice cream in a graham cracker crust is the perfect pie for the lazy days of summer. So refreshing and light for this summer heat!
Yes, and I even found the crust in a reduced fat version, 25% less fat!
I make that same pie, Jenna, and it’s Cissy’s favorite and now she makes it!
I could believe how good it was with such little effort! You have taught Cissy to be quite the cook!
That sounds so good!! We love key lime pie and tend to make it for our family 4th of July party; I’m going to have to try to make sure that we try this recipe for it next year. Pinned.
Thanks, and it couldn’t be easier, I hope you love it!
Quick and tasty…it looks like you definitely got the seal of approval from your family.
Not exactly gourmet, but definitely delicious!
This will be a delicious pie Jenna, I can’t wait to try it! Thanks so much for sharing your awesome post with us at Full Plate Thursday, 552 and come back to see us real soon!
