Little Red Christmas Truck

Welcome to the monthly Creative Craft Blog Hop
hosted by Sara @Birdz of a Feather
With Fall days flying by,
the holidays will be here before we know it!

I belong to a group of women who share a love of MacKenzie-Childs
We all have the same MacKenzie Childs tote bag
and we talk about places and things we’ve done
with our totes on our blogs quarterly
We have formed strong friendships
and often give each other gifts

Inspired by a MacKenzie-Childs holiday truck
I decided to make little red Christmas trucks
for my Traveling Tote Tribe
for Christmas presents last year

I couldn’t post about it then because it would have ruined the surprise,
so I decided to wait and post the tutorial this year

The ladies all loved their little MacKenzie-Childs inspired little red Christmas trucks

I ordered small die cast pick up trucks from Amazon here

And mini snow covered trees here

I found mini wreaths and wrapped packages at Hobby Lobby
Now the fun begins!

The hoods and truck tops were painted white with craft acrylic paint
I added black checks with a flat square brush

When the paint was dry, mini wreaths were glued on the front

I wrapped the trees with strands of mini lights {Hobby Lobby}
and secured them in the back with a present

I ran out of mini lights so my truck just has a pile of presents

This MacKenzie-Childs ornament is the same size as the trucks
and available on line here for $98.00!
The trucks I made cost about $10 each

Love it all, especially the tree in the truck, although I must admit I’m not that fond of nutcrackers…
Nutcrackers can be scary!
