Hugs & Kisses & Valentine Wishes

Welcome to the 2022 Valentine Tablescape Blog Hop!

and thank you to our wonderful hostess,

Rita from Panoply

If you’re coming from Sandra @ Dinner for Eight

I know your in the mood for romance!

I’m bringing you hugs & kisses for Valentine’s Day

Wishing lots of sweet Valentines will come your way

I decided to feature this amaryllis bloom

and set it in a silver pot in the middle of the room

I added ribbons and a big checked bow

With cascading hearts down the sides and below

Centered on the table is a paper runner of Xs and Os

It’s scattered with little felt hearts and shiny hearts aglow

And cupid is there, ready with his bow!

Each place features a chocolate rose

And the chairs are tied with big red bows

At night the table glows with mini white lights

It’s romantic, whimsical and full of Valentine delights!

Up next is sweet Shannon from Bleu Belle Interiors

Good Morning Jenna! Your amaryllis makes a beautiful centerpiece for Valentine’s Day with it’s big beautiful blooms! I love it in placed in your mercury glass vase atop your Courtly Check pedestal. All your embellishments are so festive cascading down from it, from the ribbons, wired and glass hearts, and beautiful illuminated at night too! Your painted paper runner with X’s and O’s is super fun, affordable and easy enough for anyone to do! As always, it’s a treat to join you at the table and hop with you. Happy Tuesday ♥

  2. Jenna, the amaryllis is a beautiful centerpiece sitting atop your MKC ruffled cake plate! All of the embellishments make it an outstanding centerpiece. The Xs and Os paper runner with its adorable hearts is festive and unique. The chocolate rose is calling my name. What would Valentine’s Day be without chocolate!! The table is whimsical and romantic, perfect for adults and children! Your rhymes are always fun! It is a pleasure to hop with you ♥️

  3. That table runner is wonderful with the red, Jenna! The centerpiece, perfect — all the lights! oh, it’s all so very pretty! I think anyone would feel special sitting at this table!

  4. So beautiful! I realized that this year I did not start an amaryllis! Everything looks wonderful.

  5. Kitty says:

Such a fun rhyme to read as your tablescape was created, Jenna! It all looks so pretty lit up at night. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us. ❤️

  6. Kari says:

Jenna as you know I look forward to not only your prose, but your artistry with your tablescapes. And this Valentine’s day was no exception. I love how you showed us a step by step approach. So just like you my friend. 🙂 We need a bit of whimsey these days and you provided it. all. I love amaryllis and starting them though they don’t last much longer than bloom time for me…not sure the color of my thumb. LOL
Have a great and warm day…it is chilly down here in Florida…49 degrees this morning.
    Blessings always
Kari @ Me and My Captain

    • Thank you sweet Kari! I don’t have a green thumb, but I do love watching amaryllis grow and change daily, such a beautiful flower! Stay cozy down there, I hope you get your warm temps back soon~

Good morning, Jenna! I adore your beautiful Valentine’s Day table. The amaryllis bloom made the perfect centerpiece with all of your pretty embellishments. The hugs and kisses runner looks wonderful contrasting the traditional Valentine colors. Your table looks gorgeous in both day and at night with the sparkle of the twinkle lights. Happy Tuesday, sweet friend!

Jenna, I was enthralled to read each verse of your rhyme and see your creative tablescaping ideas too!
How pretty your variegated amaryllis is! I think that variety is called Apple Blossom.Sitting on your MKC cake plate with the black and white ribbon is very eye catching.
Your artistic talent painting the cherub glasses is always fun to see. Also creating your own runner is impressive.
Your Valentine table for two is delightful!

    • Thanks so much Bonnie! I just adore amaryllis, they fascinate me at the rate they grow and change…Thanks for noticing the cherub glasses, I didn’t get a very good photo of them. I hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day!

  9. lghiggins says:

Jenna, you create poetry so effortlessly! I don’t know which comes first, the inspiration for your creations or the words, but you truly have an artist’s soul, through and through! Your table whimsy is as delightful as the poem. The lights at night turn up the romance, and make it a sweet invitation for a quiet dinner…which is another area of your artistic flair! I’d love to be your guest, anytime, at any table! Thanks for bringing your special variety of city and sea, patio or deck – it’s always a fun stop on the tablescape blog hop!

    • Thank you so much Rita! Those silly rhymes just seem to pop into my head as I’m writing the posts 🙂 I love to add little white lights to my centerpieces, especially on the foyer table that can be seen from so many rooms…the lights add so much warmth and ambiance. Thanks so much for the wonderful hop ❤️

  12. Ricki Treleaven says:

Jenna, I love the photo with the fairy lights on! I think we should keep lights like that in our homes throughout winter because they are cozy, and they make people smile! Your centerpiece is too, too, cute. I love how you featured the amaryllis in a silvery pot and then added all the blingy extras! LOVE it! I might try to copy cat something very similar ;P
Cute table runner with the “hugs and kisses!” The scattered ornaments are a cute idea, too.

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

    XO,
    Ricki Jill

    • Thanks so much RJ, I adore little white lights and love to drape them around the centerpiece on the foyer table because it can be seen from so many rooms and really brightens up the evenings!

  13. Rachelle says:

Jenna, your amaryllis bloom is beautiful and deserve to be center staged. I loved the way you added a bow to the chairs and would love to have some of the scripted plates as part of my dish collection. And it is always nice to see a table setting featured in daylight then with the lights dimmed as nighttime falls. Very romantic!
    Hugs,
    Rachelle

    • Thank you Rachelle, I have had the scripted plates for years, probably found at HomeGoods…I use them every Valentine’s day and just love them. I also love using little white lights and they tend to be draped over any centerpiece I have on the foyer table all year long!

  14. Hello Jenna, the amaryllis is gorgeous as your centerpiece. Gotta love MKC pieces, make for a lovely display. Hugs and kisses are always welcome. Such a cute the me. You poems are so sweet. The cherubs are so cute. I so admire your talents. Always fun to join you on these blog hops.

    • Thanks so much Linda, I love using my MKC cake plate to elevate a centerpiece…I missed having an amaryllis at Christmas time and was delighted when I found some at Trader Joe’s a few weeks ago…it is really brightening up this dreary cold January!

  15. Very pretty Jenna! I haven’t grown an amaryllis in years… Might look into that this holiday season:@)

  16. I love the bold graphic XOXO! You usually think of a frilly delicate Valentine’s Day – but this is really cool.

  17. Nancy says:

A beautiful centerpiece with your Amaryllis. And then sitting it atop the MKC cake plate. Lovely!
I like your table especially in the evening all lit up!
    xxooxxooxx Enjoy your week!

  18. Jenna, I love love your table runner! I created a similar one on a white sheet for a Youth Valentine dance!! I didn’t think about using white paper to create the runner. Such a great idea! I love how cute everything looks!

  19. Sarah says:

Jenna, fabulously fun table with the script plates, the big bold XOXO, and your beribboned star amaryllis. Always get inspired with your posts, and love the rhyming text. Fun to table hop with you, my talented friend! Happy Valentine’s Day!

The amaryllis became the shining star of your table. What a great idea to embellish the container and turn it from ordinary to extraordinary.

  21. Hi Jenna, the stunning Amaryllis bloom really sets the tone for your table. Love you you enhanced the bloom by embellishing the container. Really draws attention to your focal point for the table setting. The bows made from netting are a nice addition to the chairs.

  24. Debbee says:

Hugs and kisses back at you! What a cute theme and clever idea to paint your own tablerunner. I also like how you incorporated some splashes of purple into the centerpiece. And are those sweet glasses another of your hand painted creations? You know how I also like to paint stemware as favors or to fit tablescape schemes, Did I miss a post you already published on them?

    • Thank you Debbee, yes I painted the Valentine glasses a long time ago but have not posted about them. I used butcher paper for the runner, it works great because it’s coated on one side which makes it very durable. Have fun with your paint brush!

  25. Marsha says:

Jenna, your embellished amaryllis makes a fun centerpiece for your bright and cheerful Valentine’s Day tablescape. I love your square black and white plates that work so well with you X and O’s table runner. It is festive and bold and brings even more playfulness to your table. I am all about the mix of patterns and they work so well for your table, especially when it is in black and white. It is such a pleasure to hop with you and I wish you a very Happy Valentine’s Day.

  26. Jenna, the amaryllis was the perfect choice for a centerpiece! It’s big, bright, and bold, and proclaims that it’s not to be missed! The reds, pinks and blacks are taken to the next level with that shot of purple. Altogether fun and a great setting to celebrate Valentine’s Day — with chocolate roses of course! Enjoy your holiday

  27. Cecilia says:

Jenna, your hugs and kisses tablescape is so lovely and your amaryllis is just gorgeous! (I forced several winter bulbs after Thanksgiving and enjoyed their blooms so much.) Love the colorful tablerunner and chocolate roses, too! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction

  28. Denise/My Home of All Seasons says:

I love your amaryllis Jenna! What a great choice to build your centerpiece around! I love that it lights up at night too. That brings a whole new dimension to your tablescape. Your table runner is adorable and the bows on the chairs are just so pretty. You brought it all together perfectly! Thanks for the inspiration. Have a great weekend!

  29. Kim says:

What a cute and fun table Jenna! The amaryllis is perfect for your centerpiece – such beautiful flowers they have. Love your black and white salad plates and the chocolate roses are the perfect finishing touch! I’m guessing you painted the wine glasses yourself? They are adorable! Hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day!

    • Thanks so much Kim! I’ve had those plates for years and love using them for Valentine’s Day. Yes, I painted the glasses. Amaryllis are one of my very favorites, they are fascinating to watch grow and change daily!

  30. Maureen says:

So pretty Jenna! I love the Amaryllis, and how you have decked it out for Valentine’s Day. I always enjoy your bright and cheery setting with the light flooding in through the sidelights! Your X0 table runner is such a sweet touch, and your plate stack is perfection!! Always a pleasure to join you on our blog hops!

  31. Rebecca says:

Jenna, it looks like we were thinking alike with our hugs and kisses theme this year! Your DIY paper runner is wonderful…it has a modern and bold vibe that I love. The red and black gives it a tres chic French feeling, as well. I wish I’d gotten an amaryllis to force this year. My mom always loved having an amaryllis at Christmas. Yours makes the perfect centerpiece surrounded by ribbon and heart trinkets. It’s always a pleasure to hop with you, my friend. Happy Valentine’s Day!
