Recipe Box, Cheesy Herb Mushroom Bread

This mushroom topped flatbread goes together in minutes,

bakes in under 20 minutes

and can be served as an appetizer, side or main dish!

And guess what,

you don’t even have to sauté the mushrooms first!

Crescent Roll Dough, sliced mushrooms,

Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning,

fresh rosemary, butter

I also used garlic powder, grated Asiago

and crumbled bleu cheese

Place dough on a greased baking sheet,

seal perforations if necessary

and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and garlic powder

Melt butter in a large measuring cup

and add sliced mushrooms, stirring to coat

Place them evenly on top of dough

Sprinkle with cheeses and rosemary

Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes and check

Continue baking if necessary until dough is golden, 2-4 more minutes

Cheesy Herb Mushroom Bread

This yummy mushroom flatbread preps and cooks in under 30 minutes and can be served as an appetizer, side dish or main dish. You don't even have to sauté the mushrooms first, just toss them in butter and they will cook along with the dough.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 can crescent roll dough sheet or rolls
  • 8 oz. sliced baby Bella mushrooms
  • Italian seasoning
  • garlic powder
  • fresh rosemary
  • 2 oz grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 oz grated Asiago cheese
  • 2 oz bleu cheese crumbles optional

Instructions
 

  • Place dough on a greased baking sheet, sealing perforations if necessary
  • Sprinkle dough with Italian seasoning and garlic powder to taste
  • Melt butter in a large measuring cup and add mushrooms, stirring to coat
  • Spread buttery mushrooms out in an even layer on top of dough
  • Sprinkle with rosemary leaves and cheeses
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until dough is cooked through and golden
  • Cut into small squares for appetizers, or larger squares for a side or main dish
