Lucky & Blessed St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape

Welcome to the When Irish Eyes are Smiling Blog Hop!

Thanks so much to Debbee from Debbee’s Buzz for hosting ☘️

Please, come on in~

If you’re coming from Karin’s Kottage, welcome!

St. Patrick’s Day is a very important holiday in my family…

no, we’re not Irish,

it’s my granddaughter’s birthday 🎈

We are Lucky & Blessed!

Today I’ve set a table for 2,

A place for me and a place for you!

There are shamrock glasses and pots of gold

Sweet little sheep and lambs to behold

Inside the St. Patrick’s Day Lucky Lantern,

Look closely…do you see him?

The dancing leprechaun with the big grin!

There’s a lot of fun going on inside

This is where he stashes his gold

and things he wants to hide ☘️

His lantern home roof is decorated with shamrocks and flags

And inside there is even a little leprechaun size shamrock bag!

“May your troubles be less…

May your blessings be more

and may nothing but happiness come through your door”

Jenna, I so enjoyed your poem and your table set for two….the lantern is so special with it’s little surprises inside. Love your dinner plates and any shade of green works as you have shown. Happy (upcoming birthday) to your sweet grand daughter. Your painted shamrock with a hat is so cute. (gonna try that one)
Your table is lovely as are you. I count you as my friend.

    • thanks so much Kari! My daughter and I are having a ton of fun planning CCs birthday party, we aren’t decorating with shamrocks this year, the theme is ice cream cones! Have fun creating some shamrocks!

Thank you for the poem and table for two, one place set for me and you. 🙂 Your little dancing leprechaun looks like he’s up to the usual shenanigans with his stash of gold in your cute lantern. Happy early birthday to CC, a double reason to celebrate! As always it’s a treat to hop with you and join you at the table. Happy Thursday ☘️☘️☘️

  8. What a lovely St. Patrick’s Day tablescape, Jenna! I like how you incorporated the adorable lantern vignette, which I’m sure your granddaughter is going to enjoy peering into. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

  10. Hello Jenna, such a fun table with your dancing leprechaun. A lovely table for two and a poem with whimsy. Love the lantern and of course your painted goblets. Your entry is gorgeous. The sheep are a nice touch, I might have to find a few. Always a pleasure to join you. Irish blessings.

Always fun to read your poems for different occasions and to view your hand painted glasses. Your lantern is very cute full of fun things.
At my grandmother’s house one year as children all my cousins and I decided to walk to the end of the rainbow and find the pot of gold. My grandmother had the best time with that. Her house sat on a little hill and you could see for miles down the road we walked and she knew we would not last long. For some reason your post reminded me of that time on a St. Patrick’s Day and there was a large pretty rainbow in the sky.

  12. Debbee says:

Jenna, what a fun and pretty table you’ve set! Your painted stemware and other pieces always make your tablescapes all the more unique and special. So talented and creative! I also look forward to seeing how you decorate and style the pretty lantern for different holidays and occasions. Those sheep are so cute, I’ve gotta find myself some! Thank you for sharing your talents in the hop.

    • Thank you so much for including me Debbee! Now I must learn how to do some of your pretty napkin folds, I am always lazy when it comes the the napkins in my tablescapes 😂

  13. What a fun and festive table – I always enjoy seeing your hand painted glassware. Cute DINNER dishes!

  14. anartfulmom says:

    Happy Birthday to your CC!

Jenna, I am a wee bit Irish from my mom and I always set a table or do a little vignette for St Patrick’s Day. How sweet your granddaughter has a birthday on the 17th. I love your poem and the little leprechaun in the lantern. I would love to sit and have a sip of wine in the shamrock stem, I would feel very lucky indeed. Have a wonderful weekend……

  17. Kim says:

Jenna – love your prose as always and love your sweet table for two; it has a soft elegance to it and I’m thinking that is your artistic work on the wine glasses and dancing leprechaun? The lamb and sheep are adorable and so is your leprechaun’s lantern home. Hope you have a great time celebrating CC’s birthday and, as you say, may nothing but happiness come through your door! Happy Thursday!

  18. Sarah says:

    Happy St. Pat’s Day!

    • Thank you Sarah! My daughter and I are having great fun planning CC’s birthday party, she has invited 12 friends over to her house for a “spa day” and ice cream sundaes 🙂

  19. Ann Krucek says:

Jenna, I love how you are able to use your wonderful talent to custom make your stemware and the vase to add those wonderful details that make your table so fun! I love how you filled the lantern with all sorts of fabulous St Patty’s Day treats. I always enjoy hopping with you. May your days be filled with sunshine and rainbows.

  20. Marsha says:

Jenna, What a lovely St. Patrick’s Day tablescape for two. I love your decorated lantern with your hiding leprechaun. Your sheep and lamb are such a cute detail too. The bright yellow daffodils are perfect for pops of color. Your poem adds such whimsy. Have a wonderful birthday and St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

  21. Shelia says:

The lantern is absolutely magical–as a little girl I would have adored this–as a big girl, I still do! Love the tablescape and a big Happy Birthday to your granddaughter! Georgia Gal

  22. Rita C. says:

Jenna, I love this! You have every single item that represents spring and St. Patrick’s Day on that table in a dose that’s just right. Spring is my favorite season, and yesterday I was outside cleaning flower beds in 65° and short sleeves. Today I wake up to at least 6″ of snow and blustery winds – the damaging kind. Sigh. Save me the second seat, please! And what a sweet blessing, indeed, to have your granddaughter’s birthday on the 17th! You make any day a holiday with your creative talents, and I guarantee those grandkids (and big kids, for that matter), also feel lucky and blessed to have you! I’m lucky and blessed to be in your company through blogging. xo

    • Thank you so much Rita, I so appreciate your kind words and sweet comments! I wish you could join me at my table today 🙂 Yes, yesterday it was 72 degrees here and we woke up to 28 degrees and 1/2 inch of snow on the ground and gusty winds too, hopefully this will be the last of wintery weather!

  23. I adore this one, Jenna. It’s really pretty — love the lantern and daffs — but not so full that you can’t appreciate and savor ever element! I would love to have a St. Patrick’s feast (or even a cup of tea!) and that beautiful table.

  24. Barbara at Mantel and Table says:

Jenna that’s beautiful! I love when you set tables in your entry – it’s so bright and pretty and spacious – a wonderful place to sit at such a fun table! So nice to share this hop with you – I always learn so much and am so inspired by your posts! Happy St Patrick’s Day!

  25. Karen says:

You always have all the holidays covered with the cutest ideas. I know that day is extra special since it is granddaughter’s birthday. I’m sure she will enjoy the ice cream themed party.

  26. Rebecca says:

Jenna, you’ve set quite a festive St. Patrick’s Day table for two! I love the lantern centerpiece surrounded by daffodils with the cute leprechaun vase hiding inside. I always enjoy seeing your hand painted glassware. I can’t agree more that we are lucky and blessed! It’s always fun to hop with you. Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Happy Birthday to your granddaughter!

  27. Kitty says:

Your table is just darling, Jenna. I love your lantern centerpiece and this “Dinner” plates! Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️💚☘️
