Holidays, Easter Tablescape and recipes

Here we are, almost half way through April

with Easter on the horizon!

I am going to be spending this next week

doing a little more decorating and prepping

for our family celebration on Sunday

I have been playing with an Easter table in the foyer,

but fingers crossed, next Sunday we will be on the patio

enjoying a sunny Spring day

For now, Professor MacBunny is overseeing things inside

He’s making sure Oreo bunny isn’t up to any mischief…

Oreo bunny insisted on serving black and white carrots 🙂

The centerpiece is a grande martini holding colorful ribbons

and a nest of Easter eggs

Happy Dots glassware matches

the MacKenzie-Childs bunny dot cake plate {no longer available}

I have been looking through recipes and planning our menu

We will be having a late lunch after the grands hunt Easter eggs

Of course, my thoughts went to dessert first…

Baby Carrot Cakes with Brown Sugar Icing and White Chocolate Glaze

Or these easy Magic Lemon Bars

Everyone will get a kick out of Cottontail Bunny Bottom Cookies

If you’re short on time, buy a cake from the bakery or deli

and decorate it with candy carrots

🥕 Here are some other fun and different ideas

for your Easter menu 🐇

Easter Flatbread {carrots and Brussels sprouts}

Cheesy Asparagus & Prosciutto Pastries

Strawberry Coleslaw Salad

Spring has Sprung Puff Pastry Pie

Carrot Soup with Coconut Cream

Time to get busy on those last minute holiday preparations!

Be sure to stop by Tuesday

when I will be joining a very talented group of bloggers

for an Easter on a Tray Blog Tour!

  1. Your post is an inspiration. I better get hopping as soon as my hip heals.

  2. Jenna, yours plans for Easter will be wonderful. I hope the weather cooperates for patio dining. Love the table and the centerpiece!

We had frost this morning, hopeful that all of my blooms will be ok! Happy Sunday!

Jenna, you are always so well prepared and planning your get togethers. Lovely table setting and I’m loving all your bunnies, especially the one on the door. Thanks for all your inspiration…….

Wonderful inspiration for those of us who have not even begun planning.😱

  6. Loving all the pictures and your food pictures always make my mouth water! I haven’t done too much decorating for Easter I am afraid. This retirement life has caused me to have fun doing other things I am afraid. LOL! But, I did put up an Easter wreath on my front door. I hope your week is lovely dear lady. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

    • I’m sure you will have a wonderful Easter celebration with your family Cindy! You remind me of one of my friends who worried she would have nothing to do when she retired and now she’s busier than ever!

Wishing you a wonderful Easter and hopefully on the patio!

Jenna, what a colorful and fun Easter table!! Your recipes look amazing — those baby carrot cakes are making my mouth water!! Happy Easter!!

  9. What an absolutely gorgeous table, Jenna. That centerpiece is drop dead stunning with the blooms on the bottom. What a wonderful statement piece! And the recipes look great. I might have to do carrot cake — Rick would like that. Maybe I can half the batch so we don’t eat it forever! Have a wonderful holiday! Happy Easter!
