Fearless Friday, Summer Bouquet

I am concentrating on watercolor painting this month

as I participate in World Watercolor Month,

doing a painting a day for the month of July

and posting it on social media,

to promote and support junior artists worldwide

One of the prompts last week was “Passion”

This was a no-brainer for me,

as I am passionate about painting flowers 😊

I found several photos on Pinterest of flowers in jars

Then I created my own arrangement with my paint brush,

combining elements from different photos

I started by placing flowers on the paper

Then I added the jar

Stems and leaves

Then I added dark areas to help make the lighter flowers pop

Darkening the jar and petals

Reflections of the colors in the water

“Summer Bouquet” 9″ x 12″ watercolor on 140lb cold press paper

What is your favorite thing to paint?

The prompts in the Doodlewash monthly challenges

will make you paint things you normally wouldn’t

which is a good way to grow and learn…

Be Fearless!
