Party Panache, Salad Dip

Last weekend we had a last minute family pizza night,

HHjr was making delicious pizzas

and I wanted to make something

we could nibble on while he was grilling the pizzas

hmmm…

My family feels like a good dip is a must have for every gathering…

I could make Breezy Easy Party Dip {pictured above}

or Spinach Bacon Artichoke Dip {below}

but he was making a Spinach Artichoke Pizza

so that dip would be too similar

hmmmm….

Wedge Salad Dip is a big favorite

But I didn’t have the sour cream and Ranch seasoning

it required…

BUT!

I did have romaine, bacon, tomatoes, Parmesan

and a big jar of homemade Bleu Cheese Dressing

and thought, that will work!

Give the romaine a rough chop

and then line the bottom of a shallow dish

with the lettuce pieces and top with a generous layer of dressing

Use any creamy dressing you like, bottled or homemade*

Top with chopped tomatoes

Top with crispy bacon pieces

and sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan over top

Serve with sturdy chips or baguette slices

to scoop up all the goodies!
