Red, White & Blue Decor Ideas
I can’t believe next weekend in the USA is Memorial Day weekend!
Where did May go??
Do you have special plans~
Have you done any patriotic decorating?
I am going to the beach house in a few days
and will be getting out the red, white and blue!
Here are some easy decorating ideas that you can make/do
to celebrate the red, white, and blue all Summer
Pillows add instant decor!
I have a cute Firecracker design in my Society 6 Shop
You probably won’t get it before Memorial Day,
but in plenty of time for the 4th of July
Transform bottles with paint
and hang a cute flag ornament on them
Or use a painted bottle for flowers or a red, white and blue bandana
Paint a flag plate* or bottle with stripes and a blue section
with white dots for stars
*when painting on a plate or glass,
be sure to use a curable paint for glass
It is not food safe so only paint on surfaces
that will not be in direct contact with food,
such as the border of the plate below
Festive Flag glasses can be painted the same way
Turn a large board into a flag with paint and sea shells
A great way to decorate your entry, patio or porch
Create an Uncle Sam Hat Vase
Use it to make a patriotic vignette
Or a centerpiece for your table
Turn any vase of flowers into a special centerpiece with small flags
Flip Flops, Firecrackers and Flags
Tiered trays are fun to use for decorations too,
Hobby Lobby and Amazon are great sources
for small items to use on your tray
There are so many cute paper plates out there now,
you can pair them with real dishes too
You can’t get any more festive than a themed tree!
That will be the first thing I do when I get to the beach house
You can enjoy it all summer long with Memorial Day,
Father’s Day, Flag Day, 4th of July and Labor Day!

I love all the special things you create to make your holidays special. I don’t know that I’ll do much for Memorial Day as I have little to work with in SC. However, this being a military area the tributes are quite something.

We leave South Carolina for Maine a week from Saturday. I’m always happy to get to Maine, but I don’t like leaving wherever I am.
