Side Table Makeover

Welcome to the July edition of the monthly Creative Craft hop!
Thank you Donna from Modern On Monticello for hosting!
Whether you’re a friend, a reader,
or a visitor from talented Tammy at Patina and Paint
I am so glad you’re here to see some of our creative crafts!

Today I am sharing a quick and easy side table makeover
This table sits beside my favorite chair at the beach house,
where I like to sit and read, watch TV or work on my laptop

The beach ball easel stand on the tray
is where I put my Kindle reader or phone when I read

I have noticed that the tabletop was looking a little rough
Yikes!!

I finally thought, I should give it a makeover!
I cleaned it off and got out some paint
I used artist’s acrylic because that’s all I had

I used white mixed with a touch of blue
to give it a soft sort of weathered look

I looked through my craft stash~
I wanted to glue something decorative on the raised wooden pieces
at each end of the table top

The sand dollars are too delicate,
but I found 2 large blue bubbles with flat bottoms
and paired them with smaller blue and turquoise glass beads

A dab of hot glue and it was done!

Back in place

It matches the easel stand and looks so pretty~

Much better, don’t you think?

I love it now!
