Fearless Friday, Sunny Bouquet

Flowers are an instant mood lifter~
Let’s brighten today with a Sunny Bouquet!
The inspiration for this bouquet
came from a pretty stained glass window
I saw on Pinterest
The hard part of drawing,
breaking the subject down into shapes,
has already been done!
I copied the shapes and their placement with a pencil sketch
Then I inked over the sketch with a waterproof fine liner pen
You can download a free printable here if you want to color along
I started with the leaves and stems, coloring the darkest first,
then the medium green green leaves
Then the lightest green leaves
Next, I worked on the lower blue flower
with shades of blue and lavender
To finish this flower I added some lines with my fine liner pen

and some shading with a blue colored pencil
Next I colored the middle flower with shades of yellow, coral and pink
The top flower was done in shades of yellow and orange
Then I added line to these flower and leaves
Then yellow dots with a Zig color dot pen
These pens are so much fun to use!
“Summer Bouquet” 5″ x 8″ alcohol marker and ink on mixed media paper

Have fun and Be Fearless!

You make it look so easy! It’s beautiful, Jenna!
Thank you for the download so that we can give it a try as well.
Happy Friday!
Thank you Nancy, flowers are my favorite subject to draw or paint 💐
Jenna, like Nancy said, you do make it look easy. I love your sunny bouquet! It is beautiful. Happy Friday!
Thank you Pam, keep cool today! 💐
It’s a gloomy day here in the north so your sunny bouquet is the perfect antidote to the gray skies!
Oh good! Flowers make everything better!
Have you ever worked with stained glass?
No, have you?
One very short class, and I enjoyed it, but have no idea why I didn’t continue. One of those things, so many projects, so little time.
I’ve never met anyone who didn’t like flowers. Yours are beautiful!
Thank you Linda, have a lovely weekend!
I love the color hues you have chosen to make this flower bouquet come alive!
Thank you Mary 💐
Hi, Jenna. I always enjoy your take on a project that anyone can attempt. Great tutorial and the finished result is so colorful, would make a great print for a card! Hugs, Sandi
Thanks so much Sandi, I love to “paint” with markers 🎨
Your bouquet of flowers is so pretty Jenna! I love that you pointed out where the shading was or I wouldn’t have known where to look. I love your take on whatever has inspired your project – its always special and unique. Love the dots and the dot pen looks pretty amazing!
Thank you Kim, flowers are my favorite subject, and I love to create with markers, so it was total fun for me!
Love your sunny bouquet and inspiration Jenna! The flowers are so cheery! ♥
