Winter Wine Glasses

Hello!

It’s time for the monthly Creative Crafts blog Hop

A big thank you to our hostess Sara from Birdz of a Feather

Whether you are coming from Sara’s or

you are a friend or reader,

Welcome, we are so happy you are here!

My daughter’s birthday was last week

and one of her gifts was winter wine glasses

She and I both like to sip our wine

from stemless insulated wine tumblers

My daughter has a beautiful home

that is decorated with white, gray and gold

She is sort of the opposite of me,

I love color and pattern and

she prefers white and gray, sleek and modern

I wanted to paint the stemless wine tumblers

with a design that would match her taste and her decor

I decided on gold and white evergreen trees

She can use them for the holidays and also all winter long

Just a few simple strokes and dots~

I used gloss enamel acrylic craft paint

After it dries and cures for several days it becomes waterproof

I use a sheet of paper or foil to determine the design

and to practice my strokes before I start painting

2 strokes of gold

Then 2 more

And 2 more

2 more strokes and you have a tree

Then I repeated the strokes with white on top of the gold

To finish,

I added short fat gold strokes on top of the white

and gold dots around the rest of the glass

To paint dots,

use the tip end of a paint brush and dip it into paint

and then add a dot where you want it

I got the stemless wine tumblers on Amazon here

Next up on the hop is Ann from Apple Street Cottage

So festive and fun for winter sipping Jenna! Isn’t it interesting your daughter has a different asthetic than you? I wonder if that means that CC’s tastes will be more like yours? 🙂 Happy Thursday ♥

    • Yes, we couldn’t be more different, I think CC will be a combination, she’s already “decorating” her room 🙂 She’s growing up so fast, loves make up and press on nails~

These are beautiful Jenna! I’m sure your daughter loves them! They’re perfect for her home, & it’s great that she can use them throughout winter as they aren’t Christmas colors per say. You are so talented! If I tried this, it would look nothing like this, lol! It’s great hopping with you. Pinned!
