Fearless Friday, Popcorn!
Prayers and Prayers for California…
🙏🏻
Everybody loves popcorn,
it’s fun to make, fun to eat, and easy to paint!
Let’s paint some popcorn bags and bowls
All you need are 3-4 colors of paint made for glass painting
white, yellow, dark brown and black
load a small round brush with a little yellow and a little white,
the paint will mix as you apply it
Adjust as you go,
making irregular dots in groups of 3s, 2s and singles
Leave some almost white, some deep yellow, all a little different
The color variations keep things interesting
By using both yellow and white on the same brush,
natural shading occurs, giving your “popcorn” depth and shape
Paint some text with a fun font that doesn’t have to be perfect
You can add little white or yellow dots for even more “Pop!”
Add some dark brown dots here and there for the kernels
And a message in the bottom of the bowl
You can paint individual bowls or bags
or even mini buckets!
Add candy to the mix to make a sweet and salty snack
A Popcorn Bar would be great for the Super Bowl 🏈

And popcorn goodie bags would make great Valentines 💝
You could even paint some hearts on your bags too!
Eat your popcorn and paint it too!
Be Fearless!

That’s cute, Jenna!
Hoping you are/were spared of the ice from Cora!
Thanks Rita! We woke up to 3 inches of snow!
So sweet! My husband wants a bigger bowl!
😂
Jenna I am with you on prayers for California, my heart goes out to all who have been affected.
I am here in GA with about 3 inches of snow! Still have power and my cat to keep me warm. Hoping this is a nice snow day that moves on. I was hit with the flu before Christmas–it delayed our holiday–really bad stuff. Everyone take your vitamins, rest, enjoy what I hope is a short winter and THINK SPRING!
Georgia Gal
I’m so sorry you were sick over Christmas Georgia Gal, that’s awful. We actually got about 5 inches of snow and it looks so pretty! Luckily this town was prepared and everyone was stocked up and safe at home. Good idea to think Spring! You take care!
So dog gone cute! Love it all and so fun. Now I want to plan a movie night with friends! This all would be great!
Thanks Nancy, have fun!!
This is so darling! My employees and I always ahve a movie night each January as a way to have something to look forward to after the holidays. I will totally be making a giant popcorn bowl for this!
Thank you! Movie night is a fun idea!
Jenna, I love these fun ideas with popcorn! Our grands would love a popcorn bar, maybe for Valentine’s!
We had about 3 inches, now it has changed to a wintry mix. Freezing rain is never a good thing. Stay safe!
Thanks Pam! We actually got at least 5 inches, and not much has melted yet, but is supposed to warm up a little today and be safe to drive.
Cute and easy paint project for one of my favorite snacks. I still can’t believe my husband doesn’t like popcorn. — More for me!
Thanks Leslie Anne!
Your popcorn ideas are great! Thanks for sharing them. While NC is still reeling from the hurricane, the West Coast is in such desperate trouble! Praying for people in both places!🙏
Thank you Linda, yes, so many need help in our country 🙏🏻
One of my fav foods!! Cute painting idea!
Thanks Patti!
This is adorable Jenna! You always come up with the most amazing ideas. Love the popcorn bar too. I’m sorry that you got snow and I hope it melts soon – the weather down there sounds a bit crazy. Today, we were 10 degrees (about 50 C) with some light rain late afternoon. Go figure. Stay warm, safe. and cozy and have a great weekend!
Thanks Kim! The good news was that this area was prepared for snow, schools were closed and there wasn’t power loss, so it was a fun snow day.
Your popcorn ideas are fun! I’ll have to add a popcorn barn to one of our gatherings at camp this summer.
*that should say bar (not barn) LOL
Thanks Deb, that’s a fun idea!
I was going to ask – where did You get that bowl!! OMG. This is cute and beautiful! And thank you for inspiring me. I hope I can find big enough bowl for this!
Look at Target, HomeGoods, or
Amazon for bowls~
No Target, no HomeGoods … just German Amazon is available were I live 😉 but thanks for answering!
Oh, sorry, good luck!!
Thank you!
I love popcorn anytime, but especially in the winter. Your bags and bowls are adorable!
Thanks Jeanie, it’s fun to paint!
Very creative and we love popcorn at our home! ❤️
Thanks Mary 🍿
So adorable Jenna. I think everyone loves popcorn. Love how these bowls turned out. The southern Ca. Fires are awful. California can’t seem to get a break from fires.
Thank you Linda, the fires are so tragic…
Love how you showed how to paint the popcorn, Jenna!
