Switching Sides!

French fries are a traditional side dish for for hamburgers,

sandwiches, steak, just about anything!

Switch to one of these recipes to change things up!

These Steak House Fries are oven roasted with olive oil

and garnished with a sprinkle of garlic and parsley

They are “planks” cut from russet potatoes,

skin on, which makes them tastier and more nutritious

Baked Waffle Fries are another yummy alternative

Skin on russet potatoes are cut in half

and then the insides are cut deeply into small squares or diamonds

Instead of ketchup,

serve a little sour cream and green onions for dipping

Italian Fries are made with new potatoes

And then there are these fries~

they are made with a secret step…

I have been told they are the Best French Fries Ever!

Potato Peel Fries are russet potatoes sliced thin vertically

with their nutritious skin on

Go in Circles with fries that are a thin version of traditional curly fries

They are lighter than heavy thick fries

So…

What kind of fries do you want with your burger?

  1. We’ll often do wide-cut potatoes, on the grill or in the oven. Much prefer them baked or grilled to fried, which we don’t do at home!

Yum! I had a burger and fries yesterday. They were delicious, but the fries were very thin. I like yours.

I love all the variations! I love a crispy fry. But your waffle fries are calling my name. Especially with the sour cream and onions. Delicious!

Those oven roasted potatoes would be a healthy alternative to deep fried, and they sound good because of the various seasonings.

  6. From classic to curly, I love all of these! Enjoyed the artwork too!

Oh, these all sound good! I love skin-on fries and potatoes. I’ve even started keeping skins on for mashed potatoes. Less work, more nutrients. Visiting from the Love Your Creativity linkup.

Jenna, I love the idea of skin on and I have been making potato salad this way for years. I haven’t extended it to fries though and you have such a wonderful collection of recipes here that are just begging me to try. Pinning, and thanks for these great ideas! Happy Monday to you!
