Bacon Roses

a fancy way to serve bacon

Equipment

  • mini muffin pan

Ingredients
  

  • 12 slices bacon cut in half down the center

Instructions
 

  • Roll each half slice into a loose roll and place in a muffin tin well.
  • Bake at 400 for 30-35 minutes until cooked through and crispy.
  • Drain well on paper towels.
  • If any of the rolls aren't quite done, finish them in the micorwave, wrapped in paper towels in batches, cooking at 10 second intervals, until done.
  • These can be made a day ahead and rewarmed before serving. Makes 24 roses, plan on 2-3 per person

Notes

You can also cook the bacon strips ans as soon as your remove them from the pan, quickly pat them with paper towels and then roll up into "roses" while they're still warm
