January’s “Seasonal Sipper” is an adult smoothie, sure to warm you up on a cold winter’s eve!
This enticing cocktail has equal parts Bailey’s Irish Cream, Vanilla Vodka, and Buttershots, Butterscotch Schnapps. A little drizzle of caramel on the inside of your glass and you won’t care how cold it is outside!
With a tray on a table by the fire {please use your imagination here, it is 73 today} and a snowflake pillow, I am ready for a cozy evening.
Come a little closer, see all that lovely caramel oozing down the sides of the glass?
It is sticky enough for my caramel to perch on the rim…
You can see the caramel oozing into the drink around the edges
Gradually, gravity wins out and the lovely caramel disappears into the thick delicious cocktail.
It will be a nice surprise in the bottom of the glass!
Along side is a dish with mini shortbread cookies and hard butterscotch candies
We did have snow earlier this month, so it does get cold every now and then!
This cocktail is delicious no matter what the thermometer reads!
Here’s the recipe:
CARAMEL BUTTERSCOTCH SMOOTHIE
Ingredients
- 1 part Butterscotch Schnapps I used Buttershots
- 1 part Vanilla Vodka I used Absolut
- 1 part Bailey's Irish Cream Liqueur
- Caramel or Butterscotch ice cream topping I used Smucker’s in a jar, it’s thicker than the squeeze bottle kind so it coats better
- ice
Instructions
- Combine everything but the ice cream topping in a cocktail shaker or blender.
- Shake or blend vigorously until drink is thoroughly chilled.
- Pour into a martini or other festive cocktail glass.
- Drizzle the topping around the edge of the drink and on the sides of the glass, using a spoon to control the flow.
- Garnish with a caramel candy.
Enjoy!
